Product Description
The ProMark Hickory 7A drumsticks are a light, compact pair designed for finesse, control and lower volume playing. With a slim 7A diameter, medium taper and natural, unlacquered finish, they feel fast and responsive in the hand, making them ideal for jazz, acoustic sets and any situation where touch and nuance matter more than sheer power.
Crafted from resilient hickory and finished as part of ProMark’s Natural series, these sticks offer a warm, musical response on both drums and cymbals. The wood barrel tip delivers a broad, dark tone, while the balanced taper keeps rebound predictable and comfortable, helping you play longer with less effort.
Lightweight Feel for Finesse Playing
With a diameter of 0.512 inches and a shorter overall length, the ProMark Hickory 7A is perfect for drummers who prefer a lighter stick. The reduced mass encourages speed and subtlety, letting you play intricate ride patterns, ghost notes and delicate accents without overpowering the music.
Natural Finish for Maximum Grip and Comfort
The Natural series finish leaves the hickory uncoated, giving you a direct, organic feel of the wood. This can improve grip, especially on longer sessions, as there is no lacquer to become slippery under hot lights or sweaty hands. It feels broken in from the first play, with a comfortable, familiar touch.
Hickory Construction for Classic Response
Hickory is the go-to drumstick wood for a reason. Its blend of strength, shock absorption and responsiveness helps protect your hands and wrists while still delivering a lively, musical rebound. These 7A sticks feel light but remain durable enough for regular practice and performance.
Barrel Wood Tip for Warm, Broad Tone
The wood barrel tip offers a larger contact area with the head or cymbal, producing a broader, more diffuse sound. This gives you a darker, warmer tone on ride cymbals and toms, making these sticks particularly well suited to jazz, softer rock, acoustic gigs and any context where a smooth, controlled sound is required.
Features
- Slim 7A Diameter - The 0.512 inch diameter and shorter length create a light, agile stick that excels at fast, intricate playing and lower volume work, ideal for jazz and more delicate musical styles.
- Natural, Unlacquered Finish - Part of ProMark’s Natural series, these sticks have no lacquer coating, giving a raw wood feel that can enhance grip and comfort during long rehearsals and performances.
- Resilient Hickory Wood - Made from hickory for a classic balance of durability, shock absorption and lively response, helping to reduce hand fatigue while maintaining a solid, dependable feel.
- Wood Barrel Tip with Medium Taper - The barrel-shaped wood tip and medium taper provide a warm, dark tone with a balanced rebound, making it easy to control dynamics and articulation across the kit.
