Low-Noise Preamps and Musical EQ

The 12 mic preamps are designed for low noise and high headroom, so your microphones sound open and detailed even at higher gain settings. Mono channels feature a 3-band EQ with a sweepable mid band from 100 Hz to 8 kHz, letting you carve out space for vocals, guitars and other key sources. High and low shelving bands on both mono and stereo channels offer up to ±15 dB of adjustment, making it easy to tame harshness or add warmth where needed.

Onboard Compression and Effects

Channels 1 to 8 include one-knob FET compressors, ideal for tightening vocals, bass and other dynamic sources without needing outboard gear. A built-in 24-bit DSP provides 99 studio-style effects presets, from reverbs and delays to modulation, all controlled via an LCD display and dedicated controls. With peak indication, mute switches and footswitch muting for the effects section, you can manage your processing confidently on stage or in the studio.

Modern Connectivity and Flexible Routing

The MQ1642X integrates easily with today’s playback and recording setups. The digital section includes Bluetooth audio streaming, a USB player and a 2x2 USB audio interface with 24-bit / 48 kHz converters, allowing straightforward recording to and playback from a computer. Four AUX sends, dedicated control room and headphone outputs, plus two stereo group buses give you the routing flexibility needed for monitor mixes, external processing and sub-group control in more complex systems.
