Peterson StroboStomp EVH Compact Strobe Tuner Pedal

The Peterson StroboStomp EVH Compact Strobe tuner brings the legendary red strobe glow of Eddie Van Halen's signature style to your pedalboard. Delivering true strobe tuning accuracy to an incredible 0.1 cent, it lets you lock in with the same microscopic precision Eddie relied on, while a huge colour LCD display and flexible bypass options make it perfectly suited to both stage and studio.

At the heart of the StroboStomp EVH are thirteen exclusive EVH Sweetened Tunings, each one derived from the actual guitar tunings used across Eddie Van Halen’s landmark 1978 debut album. Paired with matching bass Sweeteners and Peterson’s vast library of over 158 Sweetened and Guided Tunings, this pedal lets you tune to the record rather than the tab, nail those classic tones, and then switch straight back to your own setups with a single stomp.

Despite its compact footprint, the StroboStomp EVH is built to be the visual and tonal anchor of your board. The 417 segment high definition LCD screen with variable colour backlight is easy to read under any lighting, and you can assign different colours to different tunings so you always know where you are mid set. Choose between silent, pop free true bypass for absolute purity, or engage the high quality buffer to keep your tone intact across long cable runs and complex pedal chains.

Out of the box it is a simple, ultra accurate tuner for guitar, bass, steel and more. Connect it to Peterson Connect via USB and it becomes a deep, customisable tool that can store unlimited user presets, auto order your favourites, and even share custom tunings with players around the world. Whether you are chasing Eddie’s exact pitch on a specific track or just want your own rig to sound tighter, clearer and more in tune than ever, the StroboStomp EVH gives you the precision and flexibility to get there.

• Thirteen Exclusive EVH Sweetened Tunings - Custom presets replicate the precise tunings Eddie Van Halen used across his 1978 debut album, letting you match each track’s pitch exactly and play along with the original recordings without guesswork.
• True Strobe Tuning With 0.1 Cent Accuracy - Peterson’s genuine strobe engine offers ultra fine resolution so chords, bends and double tracked parts lock together more tightly, improving clarity and intonation across your entire rig.
• Large HD Colour Display In A Compact Enclosure - A 417 segment LCD with variable colour backlight provides superb visibility on any stage, while colour coded presets make it quick and intuitive to move between different tunings mid set.
• Buffered Or Silent True Bypass With Deep Preset Control - Choose between pop free true bypass or a high quality buffer to suit your board, then use Peterson Connect and on pedal controls to access over 158 Sweetened and Guided Tunings, automatic drop and capo settings, and unlimited user presets.

EVH Album Tunings, Track By Track

The StroboStomp EVH includes thirteen exclusive EVH Sweetened Tunings that mirror the exact tuning offsets used on Eddie Van Halen’s 1978 debut album. Each preset corresponds to a specific track, accurately recreating the subtle quarter and eighth tone deviations from Eb Standard that make those recordings feel so alive. With matching four string bass Sweeteners, the whole band can lock into the same sonic space and play along in perfect tune with the original record.

True Strobe Accuracy You Can See

Using Peterson’s true strobe technology, the StroboStomp EVH delivers 0.1 cent accuracy, far beyond the resolution of typical LED or needle tuners. The strobe pattern simply stands still when the note is perfectly in tune, removing the guesswork and string bending that comes with less precise tuners. If you have ever struggled to get chords to sit right or double tracked parts to really line up, this level of precision makes an immediate, audible difference.

Huge Colour Display In A Compact Pedal

A 417 segment high definition LCD with variable colour LED backlight gives you a massive, crystal clear tuning readout in a compact enclosure. You can assign colours to specific presets or instruments, making it easy to confirm at a glance that you are on the right tuning, even under harsh stage lights or bright sunlight. Guided Tunings, string number indicators and support for extended range guitars, basses and steel instruments make it a genuinely universal solution.

Flexible Bypass And Deep Connectivity

The StroboStomp EVH offers silent, pop free true bypass for players who want their signal completely untouched when the tuner is off, using timed relays to eliminate switching noise. A user selectable buffered mode is also available to maintain clarity and high end over long cable runs or pedal heavy boards. Via Micro USB and Peterson Connect you can update firmware, create and organise custom tunings, set automatic drop and capo offsets, and store unlimited user presets tailored to your exact needs.
