Music Man Session StingRay Bass Guitar in Olympic White

The Music Man Session StingRay in Olympic White takes the iconic 1990s and 2000s StingRay formula and refines it for modern players. With a powerful Alnico 5 humbucker, active 3 band EQ and a slick roasted maple neck, it delivers that unmistakable StingRay punch with contemporary playability and rock solid tuning stability.

Built around a solid ash or poplar body (finish dependent) and a full 34 inch scale length, this four string workhorse offers the familiar feel and authority that bassists rely on. From tight, articulate fingerstyle to aggressive slap, the Session StingRay gives you the clarity, growl and low end definition to sit perfectly in any mix.

The roasted maple neck and fingerboard option bring a premium feel to the Session series, with a smooth oil and wax finish that feels fast and natural in the hand. A comfortable 11 inch fingerboard radius and 21 frets make it easy to move around the neck, whether you are holding down classic lines or exploring more melodic territory higher up.

At the heart of the bass is the Music Man Session Alnico 5 humbucker, voiced for the classic StingRay character. Paired with an active 3 band preamp, it offers a wide range of usable tones, from deep, rounded lows to cutting, percussive mids and bright, defined highs. Simple, intuitive controls keep you focused on playing, not tweaking.

Modern Take on a Classic StingRay

The Session StingRay keeps the iconic double cut StingRay body shape and four string layout, giving you the instantly recognisable look and sound that has defined countless records. The ash or poplar body (finish dependent) provides a solid tonal platform, balancing punch, resonance and clarity for a voice that works across funk, rock, pop and beyond.

Roasted Maple Neck with Natural Feel

A roasted maple neck with an oil and wax finish offers a smooth, broken in feel straight out of the gig bag. The 11 inch fingerboard radius and 21 frets strike a balance between comfort and versatility, supporting everything from low register grooves to expressive runs higher up the neck, while the six bolt attachment keeps things stable under real world playing conditions.

Powerful Alnico 5 Humbucker and Active 3 Band EQ

The Music Man Session Alnico 5 humbucker delivers the signature StingRay blend of tight lows, punchy mids and crisp highs. With an active 3 band preamp and straightforward master volume and EQ controls, you can quickly dial in tones for different styles and venues, from warm, supportive foundation to bright, cutting presence that slices through dense arrangements.

Stable Hardware and Precise Setup

Music Man Schaller open gear tuning machines and a dedicated Session bridge provide a stable, reliable platform for performance. The compensated nut improves intonation accuracy across the neck, while the dual action truss rod allows precise adjustment of neck relief to match your playing style and preferred string tension.
