Music Man Session StingRay Bass Guitar in British Racing Green

The Music Man Session StingRay in British Racing Green takes the iconic 90s and 2000s StingRay blueprint and refines it for modern players. With a powerful Alnico 5 humbucker, a flexible 3 band active preamp and a slick roasted maple neck, it delivers that unmistakable StingRay punch with rock solid tuning stability and a premium feel that is ready for any stage or studio session.

Balancing classic character with contemporary playability, the Session StingRay keeps things focused and intuitive. A single humbucker and simple control layout make it quick to dial in, while the long scale length, compensated nut and dual action truss rod ensure a responsive, precise playing experience. Finished in a striking British Racing Green, it looks as good as it sounds.

Reimagined StingRay Performance

The Music Man Session series reinterprets the legendary StingRay bass with subtle but meaningful upgrades. You still get the familiar double cut body shape and four string layout that helped define generations of bass tones, but with refined construction and hardware that enhance stability, consistency and feel. It is a StingRay built to meet the demands of modern working bassists.

Comfortable Roasted Maple Neck

The roasted maple neck and fingerboard (finish dependent) are finished with oil and wax for a smooth, natural feel that invites long playing sessions. Roasting improves stability and resistance to environmental changes, while the 11 inch radius and 21 frets provide a comfortable platform for everything from supportive fingerstyle lines to more adventurous melodic playing and slap techniques.

Powerful Humbucker and Active 3 Band EQ

At the heart of the Session StingRay is a Music Man Session Alnico 5 humbucker feeding an active 3 band preamp. This combination delivers the classic StingRay recipe of punchy lows, articulate mids and clear, defined highs, with plenty of headroom. The straightforward master volume and 3 band EQ controls make it easy to adapt your sound to different genres, rooms and rigs without getting lost in complex switching.

Stable Hardware and Intelligent Details

A six bolt neck attachment and Music Man Session designed bridge provide a solid, reliable connection between neck and body, helping sustain and tuning stability. The compensated nut improves intonation accuracy across the fingerboard, while Music Man Schaller open gear tuners offer precise, dependable tuning adjustment. Together with the dual action truss rod, these details make setup tweaks simple and keep the bass performing at its best.

• Session Series Take on a Classic StingRay - The Music Man Session StingRay captures the spirit of the iconic 90s and 2000s models with updated craftsmanship and hardware. You get the familiar punchy voice and feel of a classic StingRay, refined for reliability and consistency in demanding modern playing environments.
• Roasted Maple Neck with Oil and Wax Finish - The roasted maple neck offers enhanced stability and a smooth, broken in feel straight out of the box. From tight, focused funk to big rock lows and articulate modern tones, the electronics give you a wide, usable range without overcomplicating the control layout.
• Rock Solid Hardware and Construction - The six bolt neck joint, compensated nut, dual action truss rod and Music Man Schaller open gear tuners work together to keep the instrument stable and in tune.
