Product Description
The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 is a high-performance, fully active 4-way column PA system designed for demanding live performances, DJs, bands and professional event applications. Combining powerful full-range sound with controlled dispersion and straightforward handling, it delivers impressive output without the complexity of a conventional PA system.
At its heart is a high-power 15" neodymium woofer housed in an airflow-optimised bass reflex enclosure, providing punchy, precise low end down to 34 Hz. The two-piece column incorporates 14 × 3.5" neodymium midrange drivers and four 1" compression drivers, with BEM-optimised waveguides, phase plugs and horn loading delivering clear, coherent coverage across the audience. Its passive cardioid column design attenuates rearward radiation by up to 18 dB, helping to reduce unwanted sound on stage.
With 1,800 W RMS power, 3,600 W peak power and a maximum SPL of 133 dB, the MAUI 44 G3 provides substantial headroom. DynX DSP Gen. 2, flexible analogue connectivity and Bluetooth 5.4 make it a powerful and practical solution for professional sound reinforcement.
Features
- Powerful 4 Way Sound - The 1,800 W RMS amplifier and dedicated driver groups provide powerful, detailed full-range reproduction with a maximum SPL of 133 dB.
- Passive Cardioid Column - The column attenuates rearward sound by up to 18 dB, helping to minimise unwanted stage noise while maintaining controlled audience coverage.
- Flexible System Expansion - A second MAUI 44 G3 subwoofer can extend low-frequency output or create a cardioid subwoofer configuration.
Controlled Cardioid Dispersion:
The MAUI 44 G3's two-piece column combines 14 × 3.5" neodymium midrange drivers with four 1" compression drivers to produce a coherent and controlled sound across the listening area. Newly developed phase plugs and BEM-optimised waveguides help maintain even dispersion through the upper frequency range, while horn-loaded midrange drivers in the lower column section improve efficiency, headroom and vocal clarity. The resulting 120° × 25° dispersion pattern provides broad horizontal coverage with controlled vertical directivity. The passive cardioid design is particularly valuable in live applications, directing sound towards the audience while reducing rearward radiation by up to 18 dB between 100 Hz and 1 kHz.
Powerful Low Frequency Performance:
A high-power 15" neodymium woofer provides the foundation for the MAUI 44 G3, delivering punchy and precise bass response extending down to 34 Hz. Its low-tuned bass reflex enclosure incorporates specially designed airflow-optimised ports, reducing turbulence and unwanted port noise when operating at high output levels. The system can also be expanded with an additional MAUI 44 G3 subwoofer. Positioning the second subwoofer facing backwards enables the cardioid preset to extend directional control into the low-frequency range, while placing it forwards instead provides a further 6 dB of bass output for applications where maximum low-frequency impact is required.
Professional Power and Connectivity:
The MAUI 44 G3 uses a fully active 4-way architecture with dedicated amplifier channels and driver groups for each frequency band. Its Class D amplifier delivers 1,800 W RMS and 3,600 W peak power, with DynX DSP Gen. 2 and advanced peak, RMS and thermal limiters helping maintain clean, undistorted performance at high output levels. Two XLR/TRS combo inputs, two Thru outputs and a dedicated sub output provide straightforward connections for source equipment and system expansion. Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC and AAC codec support also enables convenient wireless playback, while automatic column detection and cable-free connections between the system components ensure fast setup.
