Based on the early 1960s originals, this is the Les Paul that many players think of when they hear the name. It’s built around a non-weight-relieved Mahogany body topped with a beautifully figured AA Maple cap that adds clarity, sustain and a touch of bite to that rich, midrange-heavy Les Paul warmth.

SlimTaper neck

The SlimTaper Mahogany neck is fast, comfortable and perfect for long sessions, whether you’re riffing, soloing or just getting lost in a jam. Paired with a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets and classic acrylic trapezoid inlays, it feels slick and effortless in the hand. The 12” radius strikes a great balance too — equally happy handling chord work down low or big, bluesy bends higher up the neck without fretting out.

Rock-solid hardware

Hardware-wise, Gibson’s nailed the formula. You get an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece and reliable Grover Rotomatic tuners with Kidney buttons, all working together to deliver excellent tuning stability and sustain. A Graph Tech nut keeps things silky smooth too, while the gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors complete that cool ‘60s look.

Authentic Burstbucker tone

Plug it in and you’re greeted by a pair of ‘60s Burstbucker pickups, loaded with Alnico 5 magnets and hand-wired the traditional way. They deliver everything from warm, woody neck tones to biting bridge crunch, with loads of dynamic response in between.

Individual volume and tone controls let you blend the pickups exactly how you like, complete with audio taper pots and Orange Drop capacitors for sweet, musical roll-off. A classic 3‑way toggle rounds out the setup, keeping on-the-fly pickup switching simple and versatile.
