How to Get Started
- 1. Download and install the Architect software
Click the link below to download the latest version of Blackstar Architect.
If you already have Architect installed, don’t worry — this version should automatically overwrite your existing one if it’s saved in the same location.
- 2. Connect your amp
Launch Architect and connect your ID:X 50 or ID:X 100 via USB.
You’ll be prompted to perform a firmware update — click Yes and follow the instructions on screen.
3. Select your speaker voicing
Once the firmware update is complete, you now have the new Andertons Speaker Voice installed.
To switch between the original and Andertons voicings:
- Open Architect and click the Settings icon (top-right corner).
- Under Audio Settings, find the new Speaker Voicing dropdown.
- Choose A for the original voicing, or B for the Andertons voicing.
- Note: When you’ve chosen your preferred voicing, click Save — your amp will remember the setting even when not connected to Architect.
4. Try Lee & Pete’s custom patches
Head to the Community section within Architect and search “Andertons” to explore and download Lee and Pete’s favourite ID:X 50/100 patches — created exclusively for this release.
