Product Description

The latest instalment of Yamaha THR amps brings the range up to speed for the modern guitarist on the go. Packing almost twice as many amp and mic emulations as old models, as well as bluetooth playback capability, plug-and-play recording and loads more, the THR proves to be a desktop powerhouse of an amp.

Sounds

Yamaha amps have always excelled at producing crisp, dynamic modelling tones to capture the presence of a real tube amp. That’s why the THR is favoured by a number of pro musicians in need of an amp which sounds as good as it is portable.

Switch between five savable onboard presets, with five guitar styles including clean, crunch and hi gain settings. Bassists or acoustic needn’t feel left out – there are three bass amps to customise across a three band EQ and an acoustic piezo style channel too.

The THR isn’t short of effects. Choose from a range of classic and contemporary echo, reverse, spring and hall reverbs. Modulation is on tap with a selection of flanger, chorus, phaser and tremolo.

Bluetooth Connectivity

All THR models contain Bluetooth support for stereo audio playback and editing power from your phone. Sit back and relax while you use your THR as a speaker or dial in your amp sounds. If you just want to use the THR to play your Spotify playlists, the aux out is the simplest form of connectivity.

Recording

Plug the THR into your PC with a USB cable and you’re ready to record straight into your DAW – no external interfaces required. Listen back to your tracks through the handy headphones out jack. But an out-of-tune guitar is no good for recording. The Yamaha solves that, too, with a high quality built-in tuner.

Key Features

  • Realistic tube-amp tones and feel plus essential effects
  • 15 guitar amps, 3 bass amps, 3 mic models for acoustic-electrics, and flat modes. There is an amp mode Modern, Boutique, and Classic for each amp type (THR10II Wireless and THR10II can switch the amp mode by THR Remote)
  • Bluetooth support for audio playback, editing via THR Remote, and more
  • Hi-Fi audio playback with Extended Stereo Technology
  • Plug-and-play USB connectivity for recording and playback
  • THR Remote editor/librarian app for desktop and mobile devices

A perfect low powered practise amp. The sound and effects are just brilliant. Well worth the money.

Great little amp. It's a good upgrade from the THR5. Sounds great. Lost a point for not making it battery operated like its predecessor. That model ran off 8 AA' batteries and was super portable. Miss that in the THR 10ii but for an extra £90 you can get the wireless version with an Internal battery. I just didn't fancy the battery being internal.

Amp sounds incredible and is so versatile. Couldn't be happier with it. Perfect for my needs, which is just practising at home for my own enjoyment. People say it isn't loud enough to gig with but it is more than loud enough for home use. Certainly makes the Missus frown heavily

I did a lot of research prior to my purchase, so I knew the amp was going to be what I wanted. It arrived the next day, so I plugged it in & had a play with all the top settings. I was blown away with how good it sounded. It is much better than I expected & really does sound & react like a valve amp, which breaks up nicely as you play harder. The only downside is you need to use the app, to get the extra amp, cab & effects. These really do give you a really wide range of sounds & have most of the effects you would normally use. The biggest complaint is how tricky the app is to set up. The instructions are useless, so it took a few hours, trying every possible way to set it up. Once set up, it connects pretty quickly. The permissions are a bit worrying too. Why do Yamaha require your location & access to your contacts, amongst other things? This is a ********* mark, which could put people off.
