TC Electronic Taurus Distortion Pedal

Turn any clean or crunch amp into a fire breathing monster with the TC Electronic Taurus Distortion. From chewy, mid focused British style grind to scooped, saturated American high gain, this compact stompbox gives you a huge range of rock and metal tones under your feet, with intuitive controls that make dialling in your sound fast and fuss free.

At the heart of the Taurus is a powerful mid control and a loose or tight voicing switch, letting you sculpt the character and response of your distortion to suit your guitar, amp and playing style. Whether you want open, vintage style sag for classic rock riffs or a razor sharp, percussive attack for modern chugs, the Taurus keeps your core tone intact while adding all the aggression and sustain you need.

Built for the stage as well as the studio, the Taurus Distortion is designed to slot straight onto your pedalboard and integrate with your existing rig. Use it as your main gain sound into a clean amp, stack it with other drives for layered textures, or kick it in front of an already driven amp to push your solos over the top. However you use it, the Taurus gives you consistent, controllable distortion that responds to your picking dynamics and guitar volume.

If you are chasing versatile high gain tones without having to change your amp, the TC Electronic Taurus Distortion is a powerful, pedalboard friendly solution. From tight rhythm work to singing leads, it delivers a wide palette of usable distortion voices that can cover multiple genres and gigging scenarios with ease.

British Crunch to American High Gain

The Taurus Distortion is voiced to cover a broad spectrum of classic and modern rock tones. With the independent mid control you can push the midrange for punchy, British style crunch or scoop it out for aggressive, American voiced distortion. This flexibility means one pedal can handle everything from classic hard rock to modern metal without needing to rewire your board.

Independent Mid Control

Unlike many distortion pedals that offer only basic tone shaping, the Taurus gives you a dedicated mid control to fine tune how your guitar sits in the mix. Boosting the mids helps your solos cut through on stage, while pulling them back creates a more scooped, chunky rhythm sound. It is an easy way to adapt your tone to different bands, venues and musical styles.

Loose or Tight Voicing Switch

The loose or tight toggle lets you instantly change the feel of the distortion. In loose mode you get a more relaxed, vintage style response with extra sag and bloom, ideal for classic rock riffs and expressive lead work. Switch to tight mode and the low end firms up, giving you a fast, articulate attack that is perfect for palm muted chugs and precise modern rhythm playing.

Pedalboard Friendly Design

With its compact footprint and straightforward control layout, the Taurus Distortion is easy to integrate into any pedalboard. Simple, clearly labelled knobs make on the fly adjustments quick and intuitive, so you can react to the room or the mix mid set. It is a practical, gig ready tool for players who need reliable, great sounding distortion night after night.
