Sonor Momentum Snare Drum in Satin Pure White (Maple, 14x6.5)

The Sonor Momentum 14 x 6.5 snare drum in Satin Pure White is a versatile, gig ready workhorse that delivers crisp articulation, powerful projection and refined German engineering. With a 9 ply birch shell, rugged chrome hardware and Sonor signature details like TuneSafe lugs and the Dual Glide strainer, it is built to handle everything from tight studio backbeats to cutting live rock grooves with ease.

Finished in a sleek matte Satin Pure White lacquer, this snare looks as sharp as it sounds, sitting comfortably in any musical setting or kit configuration. Whether you are upgrading from a stock snare or adding a reliable second drum to your arsenal, the Momentum snare offers pro level performance, consistency and tuning stability at a very accessible price point.

Powerful Birch Punch

At the heart of the Momentum snare is a 9 ply birch wood shell, chosen for its focused attack, strong projection and controlled low end. Birch naturally emphasises the high and upper mid frequencies, giving your backbeat extra cut in a busy mix while keeping ghost notes and softer strokes clear and articulate. The thicker 9 ply construction adds body and volume, so the drum feels lively and responsive under the stick without becoming boomy or unfocused.

Classic 14 x 6.5 Versatility

The 14 x 6.5 size strikes a perfect balance between crack and depth. Tuned higher, it delivers a tight, snappy response ideal for funk, pop and modern worship settings. Drop the tuning and you unlock a fat, throaty rock voice with plenty of low end punch and a satisfying rimshot. This flexibility makes the Momentum a great all round main snare that can adapt quickly to different genres and playing situations.

Matte Satin Pure White Finish

The Satin Pure White matte lacquer finish gives the drum a clean, contemporary look that works equally well on stage or in the studio. The subtle sheen of the lacquer highlights the shell without being overly flashy, while the neutral white colour complements virtually any kit finish. It is a smart choice if you want a snare that looks professional and understated but still stands out under lights.

German Engineered Hardware

Sonor equip the Momentum snare with chrome plated hardware designed for reliability and precision. Single lugs with integrated TuneSafe technology help keep your tuning locked in by resisting unwanted movement from vibration, so you spend less time tweaking between songs. Four sided tension rods and 2.3 mm steel hoops provide even head tension and a solid, reassuring feel at the rim, while the Dual Glide snare strainer offers smooth, accurate on off action and fine adjustment of snare wire tension.

• 9 Ply Birch Shell - The birch construction delivers a bright, punchy tone with strong attack and controlled lows, helping your backbeat cut through guitars and keys while keeping ghost notes crisp and defined.
• 14 x 6.5 Inch Size - This classic depth offers an ideal blend of crack and body, allowing you to tune for tight, articulate pop and funk or fat, powerful rock and indie sounds without changing drums.
• TuneSafe Single Lugs with 4 Sided Tension Rods - Sonor TuneSafe technology and robust single lugs work with four sided tension rods to maintain stable tuning and even head tension, reducing the need for constant adjustments during rehearsals and gigs.
• Dual Glide Strainer and 2.3 mm Steel Hoops - The Dual Glide snare strainer provides smooth, precise control over snare response, while the heavy duty 2.3 mm steel hoops enhance rimshot power and durability for confident playing night after night.
