Sonor Momentum 22" Acoustic Shell Pack in GT Black

The Sonor Momentum Acoustic Shell Pack in GT Black is a focused, gig-ready 4-piece beech kit with an additional 10 inch rack tom for expanded tonal options. Built for drummers who need reliable tuning, controlled resonance and a clean, professional look, it delivers a clear attack with a rounded low end that works just as well in the studio as it does on stage. Please note: snare, hardware and cymbals are not included.

Centred around medium-thickness beech shells, this Momentum kit offers a balanced, controlled sound that is easy to tune across a wide range. Whether you prefer tight, punchy rock tunings or more open, resonant setups, the 45 degree bearing edges and 2.3 mm power hoops help each drum respond consistently and musically. The 22 inch bass drum provides a solid, defined low end that sits comfortably in a mix without becoming boomy or indistinct.

Sonor’s T.A.R. Total Acoustic Resonance mounting system and carefully designed floor tom legs minimise shell contact so your toms can sing freely while still feeling secure. Combined with the TuneSafe lug system, you get a kit that holds its tuning through long rehearsals and busy gig schedules, reducing the need for constant adjustments and letting you focus on playing.

Finished in a GT Black solid matte lacquer with chrome hardware and Momentum badges featuring gold mallets, this shell pack has a smart, understated aesthetic that suits any stage or studio environment. The bass drum is supplied without a mount, giving you the freedom to position your toms and hardware exactly how you like them and keep your setup clean and uncluttered.

Balanced Beech Shells

At the heart of the Momentum kit are beech shells chosen for their focused attack and controlled warmth. The medium 6 mm construction and 9 ply layup provide a responsive feel that does not fight back when tuning, making it quick and straightforward to find usable tones for different genres and venues.

Stable Tuning with TuneSafe

Sonor’s TuneSafe system helps prevent unwanted lug movement, so your drums stay in tune for longer. Paired with 2.3 mm power hoops and solid single lugs, the kit feels robust under the sticks and maintains pitch even under heavier playing, ideal for regular gigging and long studio sessions.

Resonant Toms with T.A.R. Mounting

The T.A.R. Total Acoustic Resonance mounting system uses minimal contact points to let the tom shells vibrate naturally. Alongside the three sound sustainers and carefully designed floor tom legs, this ensures open, singing resonance while still giving you a stable, roadworthy setup.

Practical GT Black Finish

The GT Black solid matte lacquer finish offers a sleek, low-key look that fits into any musical setting. Chrome hardware and distinctive Momentum badges with golden mallets add a subtle touch of class without being flashy, making this shell pack a practical choice for working drummers who value both style and durability.
