Sonor Momentum 18" Acoustic Shell Pack in GT Black

The Sonor Momentum Acoustic Shell Pack in GT Black is a compact, gig ready beech kit that delivers tight, controlled tone for smaller stages, rehearsal rooms and studio work. Centred around an 18 inch bass drum with 10, 12 and 14 inch toms, it offers focused low end, clear attack and an impressively balanced response that sits perfectly in a mix without overpowering the room.

With 9 ply, 6 mm beech shells, 45 degree bearing edges and 2.3 mm power hoops, the Momentum series is built for reliable tuning and consistent sound night after night. Sonor’s T.A.R. mounting system lets the toms resonate freely, while the GT Black solid matte lacquer finish and chrome hardware keep things looking sharp and professional on any stage.

Compact, Controlled 18 Inch Setup

This 4 piece shell pack is built around an 18 x 14.25 inch bass drum, 10 x 7.75 and 12 x 8.5 inch rack toms, plus a 14 x 13.75 inch floor tom. The smaller footprint makes it ideal for tight stages and compact studios, while still providing enough depth and projection for serious live work. The focused low end from the 18 inch kick keeps your sound punchy and articulate, helping you lock in with the band without overwhelming the mix.

Beech Shells with Balanced, Versatile Tone

Constructed from 9 plies of beech at 6 mm thickness, the Momentum shells offer a balanced blend of warmth, attack and low end control. Beech responds quickly under the stick, giving you a clear, defined note that works just as well for subtle studio dynamics as it does for punchy live grooves. The medium thickness adds stability and projection, making this kit a versatile choice for a wide range of styles.

T.A.R. Mounting and Power Hoops for Stable Tuning

Sonor’s T.A.R. Total Acoustic Resonance mounting system supports the rack toms without choking the shells, allowing them to ring naturally and speak clearly at all volumes. Combined with 45 degree bearing edges and 2.3 mm power hoops, you get smooth, precise tuning and a consistent, controlled sustain. Whether you tune high for jazz and fusion or low for rock and pop, the kit remains stable and responsive.

GT Black Matte Finish and Momentum Details

Chrome hardware, single lugs with 32 mm spacing and the Momentum badge with golden mallets complete the professional aesthetic. Sonor’s TuneSafe system helps keep your tuning locked in, so you can focus on playing rather than constantly reaching for a drum key.
