If you have placed your order online, you will receive a confirmation email of your order and a separate follow-up text or email to confirm when your item is ready for collection.
Please do not come to the store before you have received the follow-up message, as your order may not yet be ready at the store.
If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

With its ultra-light two-micron ribbon, figure-8 polar pattern and hand-crafted transformer, it delivers a natural, open tone that flatters guitar cabs, drums, cymbals and vocals alike, while handling punishing SPLs session after session.
Hand-built in sE’s own factory, the VR1-NG is designed as a dependable studio and live sound workhorse. Its compact, bulletproof steel body slips easily into tight mic positions, while Phantom Power protection and a gold-plated XLR output keep your signal clean and reliable in demanding professional environments.
Classic Ribbon Character with Modern Detail
At the heart of the VR1-NG is an ultra-light, two-micron ribbon element that captures sources with the smoothness and warmth engineers love from vintage ribbons, but with noticeably extended high-frequency response. You get the natural body and musicality of a ribbon microphone, plus the transient detail and top-end clarity needed for contemporary productions.

The VR1-NG’s traditional figure-8 polar pattern picks up sound from the front and rear while rejecting the sides, making it ideal for capturing both source and room ambience with a natural stereo image when used in pairs.
