Product Description
The sE Electronics V7 X Dynamic Instrument Mic in Black is a tough, supercardioid dynamic microphone designed to make your instruments sound powerful, natural and focused. A close relative of the acclaimed V7 vocal mic, the V7 X has been revoiced specifically for instruments, delivering detailed highs, deep lows and a tight, controlled pickup pattern that works just as well on stage as it does in the studio.
From guitar cabs and bass rigs to snare, toms, brass, woodwind and even the odd vocal, the V7 X is built to handle a huge range of sources with ease. Its custom aluminium voice coil and acoustic design give you a full-bandwidth sound that cuts through the mix without harshness, while the rugged construction and sleek black finish mean it is ready for life on the road.
With a wide 30 Hz to 19 kHz frequency response, high output and impressive off-axis rejection, the V7 X helps you capture the character of your instrument with minimal spill from the rest of the stage. Whether you are tracking in the studio or playing live, it connects listeners with your performance at a whole new level.
Instrument-focused version of the V7
The V7 X takes the core technology of sE’s popular V7 vocal mic and optimises it for instruments. The result is a more extended low end and a smoother top that flatters guitar cabs, drums, brass, woodwinds and more, giving you a mix-ready sound straight off the mic.
Supercardioid control on loud stages
A tight supercardioid polar pattern keeps your source front and centre while rejecting sound from the sides, helping to reduce bleed from cymbals, other amps and stage monitors. This makes it easier to get clear, focused instrument sounds even in challenging live environments.
Powerful yet natural tone
The innovative aluminium voice coil and acoustic design deliver a punchy, full-range sound with detailed highs and deep, ultra-powerful lows. You get the weight and authority you want from drums and cabs, but with enough clarity and definition to sit perfectly in the mix.
Built for real-world use
With a robust dynamic capsule, neodymium magnet and solid metal body, the V7 X is ready for the demands of touring and studio work alike. The included mic clip, thread adapter, internal windscreen and carrying pouch make it easy to integrate into your existing setup.
Features
- Instrument-optimised dynamic capsule - The dynamic capsule in the V7 X is voiced specifically for instruments, giving you a full-bandwidth response that captures the true character of guitar cabs, drums, brass, woodwinds and more without sounding harsh or boxy.
- Supercardioid polar pattern - A tight supercardioid pickup pattern focuses on your source and rejects sound from the sides, helping to control bleed on busy stages and in live rooms so you can achieve cleaner, more controllable mixes.
- Innovative aluminium voice coil - The lightweight aluminium voice coil and neodymium magnet deliver high output, fast transient response and a powerful low end, so every hit, strum or phrase comes through with impact and clarity.
- Versatile studio and stage performer - With a wide 30 Hz to 19 kHz frequency range and 300 Ohm impedance, the V7 X works seamlessly with most live and studio setups, making it an ideal all-rounder for acoustic and electric instruments, percussion and even occasional vocals.
