Roland TD-07DMK2 V-Drums Electronic Drum Kit

The Roland TD-07DMK2 V-Drums kit delivers an impressive balance of playability, compact design and practical features, making it an excellent choice for beginners, dedicated students and returning drummers. As the most affordable model in the updated TD-07 series, it provides a five-piece configuration with smaller pads that are ideal for rooms where space is limited.

The kit features upgraded dual mesh head pads inherited from Roland’s V-Drums 3 Series, giving the snare and toms a natural response, realistic rebound and precise triggering. At its heart is the TD-07 sound module, offering 50 drum kits, 143 instruments, deep editing controls, EQ, ambience and 30 multi-effects for shaping your sound.

Built-in Bluetooth makes it easy to stream music from a smartphone or tablet, while Bluetooth MIDI lets you connect wirelessly to compatible music apps. The onboard coach functions and advanced metronome provide useful tools for developing timing and technique, with Drum Pass providing access to Melodics interactive lessons created specifically for V-Drums players.

A redesigned four-post rack stand comes with many components pre-installed, making setup faster and easier. There is also an additional cymbal arm ready for a second crash when you want to expand the kit as your playing develops.

• Upgraded Dual Mesh Pads - The PD-10H snare and PD-8H toms deliver natural rebound, improved sensitivity and precise triggering for a more expressive playing experience.
• TD-07 Sound Module - Explore 50 drum kits and 143 instruments with deep editing, EQ, ambience and 30 multi-effects for creating your ideal sounds.
• Compact Expandable Design - The compact five-piece configuration suits smaller spaces, while the included extra cymbal arm allows you to add a second crash.

Expressive V Drums Playability:

The TD-07DMK2 benefits from Roland’s latest pad technology, bringing a more natural and responsive feel to an affordable electronic drum kit. The PD-10H snare and three PD-8H tom pads use dual mesh heads that provide realistic stick rebound and resistance, helping develop playing techniques that transfer naturally to larger acoustic and electronic kits. The freestanding KD-10 kick pad offers a solid platform for single and double beaters, with a reassuringly stable feel underfoot. Cymbal duties are handled by compact CY-5 pads for the hi-hat, crash and ride, while the dedicated hi-hat control pedal allows expressive playing with half-open techniques. Together, these components provide an enjoyable and responsive setup that can grow alongside your skills.

Practice Tools and Drum Sounds:

The TD-07 module gives you plenty of scope to explore, practise and customise your playing. With 50 drum kits and 143 instruments, there is a broad selection of sounds to get started with, while deeper editing controls let you shape individual sounds using pad EQ, ambience, overhead simulation and 30 multi-effects. The built in coach functions provide six interactive modes designed to improve timing, accuracy and consistency, with challenges ranging from straightforward exercises to more demanding tests. An advanced metronome offers adjustable tempo, rhythm and click sounds, making it easy to build a structured practice routine. Drum Pass also provides access to Melodics interactive lessons developed specifically for V Drums players.

Compact Setup with Room to Grow:

The TD-07DMK2 is designed to deliver a capable V Drums experience without taking over your room. Its compact five-piece configuration and smaller pads make it particularly well suited to bedrooms, home studios and other spaces where floor space is limited. Setup is also straightforward thanks to the four-post rack stand, which arrives with many components already installed to reduce assembly time. When you are ready to expand, the included mounting rod provides a straightforward route to adding a second crash cymbal. The kit is compatible with a range of Roland pads and hardware too, giving you options to develop the setup as your playing progresses. Bluetooth connectivity also makes it simple to play along with music from compatible devices.
