Product Description
The Reverend Billy Corgan Drop Z takes the sleek, modern vibe of his Z-One signature model and pairs it with a seriously capable 24‑fret, 26.25" scale neck built for life in drop tunings. That extended scale length keeps the strings nice and tight even when you tune down, giving you a deep, full-bodied tone that still cuts through the mix with punch and clarity.
Sustain for days
Thanks to its string‑thru‑body bridge, the Drop Z sustains like an absolute beast. Notes ring out with that piano‑like clarity Corgan leans on for everything from razor‑sharp lead lines to earth‑shaking rhythm work.
Railhammer Billy Corgan Z-One pickups
These ‘buckers take everything people loved about Billy’s original signature set and crank it up a notch. They’ve been re‑voiced with more output and a smoother, thicker top end, giving you a heavier, meatier rock tone that still stays articulate when things get loud.
This update came straight from Billy himself. He wanted a sound that could absolutely smash through the heavier side of the Pumpkins catalogue. We’re talking the proper riff‑fests: Geek USA, Quiet, Jellybelly, Zero… the big hitters!
Features
- Chambered Alder body: A lightweight/medium wood that’s rich and resonant, with strategic chambering under the pickguard that boosts resonance and shaves off extra weight.
- Thin finish: Lets the body vibrate more freely, giving you a more open and lively tone.
- Railhammer Z-One humbuckers: Based on the original Billy Corgan signature pickups, these have a beefed-up output and smoother treble for a thicker, heavier rock tone.
- Treble bleed circuit: Roll your volume down without your tone going muddy.
- Pure Tone jack: Dual contacts (instead of the usual single) mean a stronger connection, better signal and fewer crackles.
- Low‑profile knobs & bass contour: These feel great and stay out of the way. And the Bass Contour control is a secret weapon — tighten the lows, reshape the mids or give your pickups a whole new voice with a simple twist.
- String‑thru‑body bridge: Paired with stainless steel saddles, you get punchy attack, mega sustain and a solid, ringing tone.
- Pin‑Lock tuners: A steel pin locks the string in place with a quick twist of the thumbwheel. Faster string changes, better tuning stability!
