PRS Custom 24 Floyd Electric Guitar in Aurora Borealis

The PRS Custom 24 Floyd in Aurora Borealis takes the definitive PRS model and arms it for extreme whammy-bar work. Marrying the iconic Custom 24 platform with a double-locking Floyd Rose bridge and PRS’s new DMO pickups, this is a fast, precise and hugely expressive instrument that is equally at home delivering technical metal, modern prog or soaring fusion leads.

With its figured Maple top finished in the stunning Aurora Borealis colourway, ergonomic Mahogany body and slick Pattern Thin neck, this Custom 24 Floyd is built for effortless playability and rock-solid tuning stability. From glassy cleans to saturated high-gain tones, the DMO humbuckers and versatile 5-way switching give you a wide, articulate sonic palette that cuts through any mix while still feeling musical and responsive under the fingers.

Iconic Custom 24 Platform

The Custom 24 is the guitar that put PRS on the map, and this Floyd-equipped version keeps everything players love about the original. You still get the classic Mahogany body with a carved Maple top, 24 frets, 25 inch scale and those instantly recognisable bird inlays, giving you a familiar feel with expanded performance for more aggressive styles.

Pattern Thin Neck for Speed and Comfort

Carved from Mahogany to PRS’s acclaimed Pattern Thin profile, the neck offers a sleek, fast feel without sacrificing support. Combined with a smooth Rosewood fretboard and a 10 inch radius, it encourages low, buzz-free action and makes wide bends, fast runs and complex chord voicings feel natural and controlled across all 24 frets.

Floyd Rose Bridge for Extreme Expression

The double-locking Floyd Rose bridge lets you divebomb, flutter and pull up with confidence while keeping your tuning in check. Locking at the nut and bridge, it is designed for players who rely on heavy tremolo use, ensuring your chords stay tight and your harmonics return to pitch even after the most dramatic vibrato work.

DMO Pickups for Dynamic, Modern Tones

Spec’d by Paul Reed Smith for PRS’s 40th anniversary, the DMO humbuckers deliver a dynamic, musical and open voice. With dedicated bass and treble versions, they provide a wide frequency response, excellent note separation and a vocal-like character that suits modern high-gain rigs, articulate rhythm work and expressive lead playing alike.

• Custom 24 Foundation - Built on PRS’s flagship design, the Custom 24 Floyd retains the proven 25 inch scale, 24 frets and ergonomic body contours, giving you a familiar, balanced feel that works brilliantly on stage and in the studio.
• Pattern Thin Mahogany Neck - The slim yet supportive Pattern Thin carve promotes speed and comfort, reducing fatigue during long sets while still feeling solid in the hand for accurate bends and vibrato.
• Floyd Rose Double-Locking Bridge - A fully locking tremolo system allows extreme pitch manipulation without sacrificing tuning stability, ideal for players who lean heavily on whammy techniques and require precise return to pitch.
• PRS DMO Humbucking Pickups - The Dynamic, Musical, Open pickup set offers a broad tonal range with excellent clarity, making it easy to move from shimmering cleans to tight, high-gain tones that stay articulate even under heavy distortion.
