Custom wavetable import lets you bring your own samples into the synthesis process, while polyphonic aftertouch support adds expressive control with compatible hardware. Clear visual feedback makes complex modulation easier to understand, with animated modulators, draggable envelope controls and visible modulation information. Massive XL also introduces improved preset organisation, undo and redo history and contextual help. From Idea to Original Sound:

Massive XL is designed to make experimentation faster without reducing the depth available to experienced sound designers. Start from a Massive X preset, Expansion, audio reference or one of the included starting point templates, then explore new directions using the Preset Generator, Mutator and Randomizer. The Preset Generator can transform an audio reference into a playable synthesiser preset, including stem separation, while guided mutations let you explore variations while retaining the elements you like. Morpher and Animator add further creative possibilities, turning movement into something expressive and playable. Custom wavetable import also lets you use your own samples and sample folders as the foundation for completely personal sounds.

Powerful Control Made Clear:

Massive XL retains the deep modulation and routing capabilities expected from Massive X while making complex sound design easier to understand visually. Drag-and-drop modulation, sidechain, envelopes, LFOs and macros can be combined directly within the signal flow, while Performers and Trackers turn static patches into evolving, responsive sounds. Animated modulators show movement in real time, and draggable envelope handles make shaping curves more intuitive. Hover over a patch to see its modulators or a parameter to understand what is controlling it. Massive XL also includes improved preset organisation, searchable libraries, custom banks, undo and redo history and contextual help, making it easier to explore and manage increasingly complex sound libraries.
