Native Instruments SuperStarSaw soft synth

Co-created with A. G. Cook, the hyper pop pioneer and producer for the likes of Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek, the SuperStarSaw synth explores the extremes of stacked sawtooth waves, pushing one of electronic music's most recognisable synth sounds further than it was designed to go.

Create huge supersaws, gliding harmonies, blissed-out chords, and controlled chaos from a single playable instrument. Morph between sounds and follow unexpected ideas, without the need for complex layering and automation.

• Go from zero to chaos and back again with playable stacked saw synthesis
• Create euphoric harmonies, ravey leads, and evolving motion for trance, hyperpop, and beyond
• The Morpher’s XY control gives you instant movement, expression, and playability

Explore to the extreme

SuperStarSaw is built around contrast. Move from rich harmonies to metallic dissonance, ravey leads to impossible glides, euphoria to tension, all from the same sound source. Some instruments are designed to keep you in familiar territory. This one encourages detours. Push sounds further, break them apart, and discover new directions as you play.

Superfast. Superflexible.

Born from the challenge of building complex stacked synth sounds, SuperStarSaw turns a time-consuming production technique into a fast, fun, and flexible workflow. Dual sound engines, voice offset, glide controls, and the Morpher make it easy to sketch ideas, reshape them, and keep moving. Wild when you need it, musical when you want it, it keeps experimentation immediate without getting in the way.
