Meinl Sonic Energy Crystal Singing Bowl Rod Silicone Coated Large

The Meinl Sonic Energy CSBRL Crystal Singing Bowl Rod is a large, silicone coated glass striker designed specifically for crystal singing bowls. Its soft, grippy surface lets you tap or rub your bowls with exceptional control, making it easy to draw out everything from whisper-quiet textures to full, resonant tones.

Whether you are working in sound therapy, meditation, yoga sessions or personal sound journeys at home, this rod helps you play with a smooth, consistent response. The silicone coating minimises unwanted noise and contact sounds, so the pure voice of your crystal bowls can really shine through.

With a comfortable length and balanced weight, the CSBRL feels natural in the hand and supports relaxed, ergonomic playing. From gentle, sustained rubs to clear, focused taps, it is a versatile tool that lets you explore the full sonic potential of your crystal singing bowls.

Designed for Crystal Singing Bowls

The CSBRL has been created specifically for use with crystal singing bowls, so the contact, feel and response are all optimised for this purpose. You can focus on your playing and your practice, knowing the rod will interact with your bowls in a predictable, musical way.

Soft Silicone Coating

A smooth silicone layer around the glass core provides just the right amount of grip on the bowl surface. This makes it easier to maintain a steady motion when rubbing the rim, helping you produce stable, evolving tones without slips or harsh artefacts.

Nearly Noiseless Rubbing

The soft silicone helps to reduce handling and friction noise, so you hear more of the bowl and less of the striker. This is ideal for quiet environments such as meditation rooms, therapy spaces and recording situations where clarity and subtlety are essential.

Comfortable Large Size

With its larger format and 139 g weight, the CSBRL offers a reassuring feel in the hand and excellent control over dynamics. The 9 inch length gives you enough reach and leverage to play comfortably for extended sessions without unnecessary strain.

• Silicone Coated Glass Construction - A durable glass core wrapped in soft silicone delivers a stable, solid feel with a gentle contact surface. This combination gives you both precision and comfort, making it easier to produce clean, musical tones from your crystal bowls.
• Optimised for Tapping and Rubbing - Designed to work equally well for striking or circling the rim, the CSBRL lets you move seamlessly between percussive accents and sustained drones. This versatility means you can shape your sessions more creatively without changing tools.
• Soft, Quiet Playing Response - The silicone layer facilitates nearly noiseless rubbing, reducing harsh attack and mechanical noise. This is especially beneficial in meditative or therapeutic contexts, where a smooth, unobtrusive sound supports deeper relaxation.
• Balanced Weight and Length - At 139 g and 9 inches long, the rod offers a comfortable, balanced feel that supports controlled, fluid movements. This helps reduce fatigue and allows for more expressive, nuanced playing over longer periods.
