Product Description
The Martin 000E Retro Plus Granadillo is where timeless inspiration meets modern craftsmanship. Inspired by our legendary 28-style models, it delivers that familiar Martin heritage while embracing features designed for today’s players. With its compact 000 body size, this guitar balances projection and intimacy, making it a versatile tool for fingerstyle, strumming, or anything in between.
At the heart of its voice is a torrefied solid spruce top, thermally aged to unlock a broken-in sound that usually takes decades to develop. The process enhances resonance and openness, giving the guitar vintage character from the very first strum. Paired with solid granadillo back and sides, it produces ringing sustain, sparkling highs, and tonal complexity often compared to East Indian rosewood—but with its own distinctive clarity and depth. Scalloped X-bracing ensures the top is responsive and dynamic, adding punch and balance across all six strings.
Playability comes naturally with the Performing Artist neck profile and high-performance taper, giving players a slim, fast feel without sacrificing comfort. The short 24.9" scale length makes chord work and intricate runs feel effortless, while the ebony fingerboard and bridge provide smooth playability and tonal richness. Classic Style 28 appointments—including dot inlays and a multi-stripe rosette—give the guitar a look that honours Martin tradition while still feeling fresh.
With LR Baggs Element electronics and a softshell case, the 000E Retro Plus Granadillo is ready for the road ahead. Its balance, sustain, and comfort make it equally suited for writing, rehearsing, or performing. Whether you’re chasing inspiration at home or stepping into the spotlight, it delivers the kind of sound and feel that grows with you. This is your road to tone, comfort, and enduring creativity.
