Mapex Mars Maple 8x7 Tom Pack Incuding TH800 Tom Holder in Matte Black

The Mapex Mars Maple 8 x 7 Tom Pack in Matte Black is the perfect way to expand your Mars Maple kit with a focused, musical high tom that drops straight into your existing setup. Built from 100 percent European maple and finished in a sleek Matte Black Satin with chrome hardware, it delivers a buttery, classic warmth with modern clarity, complete with a TH800 clamp-on tom holder so you can get playing right away.

Using 7-ply, 7.2 mm European maple shells and Mapex’s SONIClear bearing edge and tom suspension, this add-on tom offers fast, articulate response, strong fundamental pitch and impressive sustain. Whether you are fleshing out a fusion setup or adding more melodic options to a rock kit, this compact 8 x 7 tom keeps your sound consistent with the rest of the Mars Maple range while giving you extra tonal flexibility.

Classic Maple Warmth

The Mars Maple series is all about that smooth, musical maple character. This 8 x 7 tom uses a 100 percent European maple shell to produce a warm, rounded tone that sits beautifully in the mix. The natural sweetness of maple gives your high tom a buttery attack and rich body, ideal for everything from subtle ghost notes to cutting accents.

Fast, Clear Response

With its shallow 8 x 7 shell and SONIClear bearing edge, this tom responds quickly under the stick and speaks clearly at any dynamic. The focused shell depth helps notes pop with definition, while the bearing edge promotes a strong fundamental pitch and reduces unwanted overtones, making tuning quicker and more predictable.

Enhanced Resonance with SONIClear Suspension

The SONIClear tom suspension isolates the shell from mounting hardware, preserving vibration and allowing the drum to resonate more freely. By keeping stress away from the tension rods, it also helps your heads stay in tune for longer, so you spend less time tweaking and more time playing.

Ready to Mount with TH800 Holder

Supplied with a TH800 clamp-on tom arm, this pack is ready to integrate into your existing hardware. The included holder gives you secure, adjustable positioning so you can dial in the perfect angle and height for your playing style, making this an easy, plug-in upgrade to your current Mars Maple setup.

• 100 Percent European Maple Shell - Crafted from 7-ply, 7.2 mm European maple, this tom delivers a buttery, classic warmth with a smooth, musical midrange. The all-maple construction provides a rich, full-bodied tone that blends seamlessly with the rest of the Mars Maple series.
• SONIClear Bearing Edge - The SONIClear bearing edge promotes direct transmission of sound from head to shell, enhancing fundamental pitch and reducing unwanted frequencies. This makes tuning easier and more consistent, particularly at lower tunings where clarity can often be lost.
• SONIClear Tom Suspension - Mapex’s SONIClear suspension system increases overall resonance by allowing the shell to vibrate more freely. By keeping stress away from the tension rods, it helps maintain tuning stability and gives your tom a more open, singing sustain.
• TH800 Tom Arm Included - The included TH800 clamp-on tom holder lets you mount the drum securely and position it exactly where you want it. This makes adding the 8 x 7 tom to your existing kit straightforward, giving you extra tonal options without needing additional specialised hardware.
