Mapex Mars Birch 22" Rock Acoustic Drum Kit in Sunflower Sparkle

The Mapex Mars Birch Rock 22 in Sunflower Sparkle is a punchy, gig ready shell pack that gives working drummers and ambitious beginners a serious upgrade. With 100 percent birch shells, gig friendly rock sizes and a bright, eye catching sparkle finish, it is designed to deliver powerful, focused tone on stage and in the studio while looking every bit as bold as it sounds.

Centred around a 22 x 18 bass drum with matching snare, compact rack toms and a deep floor tom, this configuration balances projection and portability so you can cover everything from rock and pop to worship and function work. Mapexs SONIClear bearing edges and suspension system make tuning quick and consistent, helping you get a clear, musical sound with minimal effort.

Powerful Birch Rock Setup

The Mars Birch Rock configuration combines a 22 x 18 bass drum, 10 x 7 and 12 x 8 rack toms, 16 x 14 floor tom and a matching 14 x 6.5 snare. These classic rock sizes give you a full, punchy low end, articulate mids and a snare that can cut through dense mixes. It is a versatile layout that feels instantly familiar and can handle anything from tight, controlled studio tones to big, open live sounds.

100 Percent Birch 6 Ply Shells

Constructed from 100 percent birch in a 6 ply format, the shells deliver a focused, modern tone with enhanced attack and quick decay. Birch naturally emphasises the high and low frequencies, giving your kick and toms a defined punch that sits easily in a mix. This makes the kit ideal for amplified settings where clarity and control are essential.

SONIClear Bearing Edge and Suspension

Mapexs SONIClear bearing edge allows the drumhead to sit flatter on the shell, improving contact and making tuning more straightforward. You get a wider tuning range and more consistent tone across the kit, even with quick head changes. The SONIClear suspension system on the rack toms helps them resonate freely, adding sustain and warmth without choking the shell.

Sunflower Sparkle Finish and Practical Hardware

The Sunflower Sparkle finish gives the kit a vibrant, stage ready look that stands out under lights and in photos. Insulated bass drum claws protect the hoop and help keep the tuning stable, while the included TH676 double tom holder provides secure, adjustable mounting for the rack toms. With a matching snare drum, the whole kit looks cohesive and professional straight out of the box.
