Mapex Mars Birch 22" Rock Acoustic Drum Kit in Diamond Sparkle

The Mapex Mars Birch Rock 22 in Diamond Sparkle is a punchy, gig-ready shell pack that gives advancing drummers a serious upgrade without the premium price tag. With 100 percent birch shells, versatile rock sizes and a dazzling sparkle finish, it is built to deliver clear, powerful tone and eye-catching looks in the studio or on stage.

Centred around a 22x18 bass drum with 10 and 12 inch rack toms, a 16 inch floor tom and matching 14x6.5 snare, this configuration covers everything from tight, articulate grooves to big, open rock backbeats. Mapexs SONIClear bearing edges and suspension system make tuning quick and consistent, helping you get a great sound fast and keep it there night after night.

The Mars Birch series is designed as a strong step up for drummers on their Drummer For Life journey, offering pro-inspired features in a focused, easy to manage package. Insulated bass drum claws, bass drum mounted tom holders and a matching snare drum all add up to a kit that feels complete and ready to play as soon as it is set up.

100 Percent Birch Shells

The 6 ply birch shells provide a bright, focused tone with strong attack and quick decay, ideal for modern rock, pop and live work. Birch naturally emphasises the high and low frequencies, giving your kick and toms plenty of punch while keeping the sound controlled and easy to mix.

SONIClear Bearing Edge

Mapexs SONIClear bearing edge allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell, which makes tuning more straightforward and helps the drums speak clearly at all dynamic levels. You can dial in your sound quickly and maintain stable tuning across a wide range of tensions.

Rock Sized Configuration

The 22x18 bass drum, 10x7 and 12x8 rack toms, 16x14 floor tom and 14x6.5 matching snare offer a powerful yet versatile platform that suits a wide range of styles. From tight, punchy tom fills to a deep, driving kick and a snare that can crack or fatten up as needed, this shell pack is ready for rehearsal rooms, stages and recording sessions alike.

Diamond Sparkle Finish

The Diamond Sparkle wrap gives the kit a bold, professional look that stands out under stage lights and in videos. Combined with insulated bass drum claws and clean hardware lines, it delivers strong visual impact to match its sound, helping your kit look as good as it feels to play.
