Mapex Mars Birch 22" Rock Acoustic Shell Pack in Orange Sparkle

The Mapex Mars Birch LA Fusion Shell Pack in Orange Sparkle is a punchy, gig-ready 5-piece drum kit built for drummers who are ready to step up from their first kit. With 100 percent birch shells, SONIClear bearing edges and a matching snare, this configuration delivers focused attack, quick response and a bold stage look that works for rock, pop, worship and everything in between.

This LA Fusion set pairs a powerful 22 x 18 inch bass drum with compact 10 x 7 and 12 x 8 inch rack toms, a 16 x 14 inch floor tom and a 14 x 6.5 inch snare, giving you a versatile spread of sizes that are easy to tune and comfortable to play. Finished in a vibrant Orange Sparkle, it looks as sharp as it sounds, whether you are in the rehearsal room, studio or under the lights.

100 Percent Birch Shells

At the heart of the Mars series are 6 ply, 100 percent birch shells that deliver a crisp, modern sound with plenty of attack. Birch naturally emphasises the highs and lows, giving your toms a clear note with fast decay and your bass drum a tight, punchy thump that cuts through the mix. It is an ideal choice if you want a kit that records easily and holds its own on louder stages.

SONIClear Bearing Edge

Mapexs SONIClear bearing edge is designed to let the drumhead sit flatter and make full contact with the shell. That means easier tuning, a wider tuning range and a more consistent tone across each drum. Heads seat quickly, so you spend less time wrestling with lugs and more time playing, and even budget heads can sound full and musical.

Stable Mounting and Hardware Details

The SONIClear suspension system and bass drum mounted tom holders keep your rack toms secure while allowing the shells to resonate freely. Insulated bass drum claws help protect the hoop finish and reduce unwanted noise, while the included TH676 double tom holder gives you a solid, adjustable platform for positioning your toms exactly where you want them.

Matching Snare and Stage Ready Finish

A matching 14 x 6.5 inch birch snare completes the kit, giving you a cohesive look and a snare sound that blends naturally with the rest of the shells. The Orange Sparkle finish provides serious visual impact under stage lights or in video content, making this kit a great choice if you want your drums to stand out as much as your playing.

• 100 Percent Birch 6 Ply Shells - Birch shells offer a bright, focused tone with strong attack and controlled sustain, helping every stroke speak clearly in the mix while keeping the overall sound tight and punchy.
• SONIClear Bearing Edge - The SONIClear edge allows the head to sit more evenly on the shell, making tuning quicker and more predictable and giving each drum a fuller, more musical voice at a wide range of tensions.
• SONIClear Suspension and Insulated Claws - The suspension system supports the toms without choking their resonance, while insulated bass drum claws protect the hoops and reduce unwanted rattles, so your kit stays sounding clean and open.
• Versatile LA Fusion Rock Configuration - With a 22 x 18 bass drum, 10 x 7 and 12 x 8 rack toms, 16 x 14 floor tom and 14 x 6.5 matching snare, this shell pack covers everything from tight, articulate grooves to big rock backbeats in a compact, gig friendly footprint.
