Mapex Mars Birch 8x7 Tom Pack Including TH800 Holder in Sunflower Sparkle

The Mapex Mars Birch 8 Tom Pack in Sunflower Sparkle is the perfect way to expand your Mars kit with an extra voice that cuts, projects and blends effortlessly. Featuring a focused 100% birch shell, the MAT807PK-YD pack delivers a bright, punchy 8 rack tom complete with a TH800 tom holder, so you can drop it straight into your existing setup with minimal fuss.

Built around Mapex’s acclaimed SONIClear technology, this add-on tom is designed to tune quickly, respond instantly and sit perfectly in a modern drum mix. Whether you are adding higher melodic options for fills or tightening up your groove patterns, this compact tom gives you extra articulation without sacrificing low-end support from the rest of your kit.

With its eye-catching Sunflower Sparkle finish, the tom not only sounds sharp but looks the part under stage lights. The included TH800 tom holder ensures solid, reliable positioning, letting the shell resonate freely while keeping your setup clean and consistent with the rest of the Mars series hardware.

100% Birch Shells

The Mars series uses 100% birch 6 ply shells that are naturally focused and quick to speak. On this 8 tom, that translates into a crisp, articulate voice with a punchy brightness that cuts through guitars and keys. The enhanced fundamental gives your higher tom parts real presence, making fast fills and accents stand out clearly in both live and studio situations.

SONIClear Bearing Edge

The SONIClear bearing edge allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. This improves energy transfer, giving you a stronger, deeper fundamental pitch and a more musical tone. Tuning becomes effortless and consistent, with a wider usable range so you can dial in everything from tight, high pop to a slightly lower, more rounded tom sound without fighting the drum.

SONIClear Suspension System

Borrowed from Mapex’s higher-end Saturn series, the SONIClear suspension system isolates the rack tom from its mounting hardware. By preserving vibration in the drumhead and shell and reducing energy loss into the stand, it increases overall resonance and sustain. The result is a more open, singing tom voice that still retains the focus and control birch is known for.

Sunflower Sparkle Finish

The Sunflower Sparkle finish gives this tom a vibrant, modern look that stands out on stage and under lights. It integrates seamlessly with existing Mars kits in the same finish, helping you build a visually cohesive setup as you expand. The durable wrap also helps protect the shell while maintaining a clean, professional appearance over time.

• SONIClear Suspension System - The advanced suspension mount preserves shell and head vibration, boosting resonance and sustain so your 8 tom sounds more open and musical without sacrificing attack.
• Includes TH800 Tom Holder - Supplied with a TH800 tom holder, this pack makes it easy to integrate the 8 tom into your existing Mars setup, giving you secure mounting and flexible positioning straight out of the box.
