Mapex Armory 20" Fusion Acoustic Shell Pack in Roasted Chestnut

The Mapex Armory Series 5 Piece 20" Fusion Shell Pack in Roasted Chestnut delivers a powerful, modern drum sound with a sleek, high gloss look that stands out on any stage. Combining hybrid birch/maple shells with Mapex’s SONIClear technology, this kit is designed to tune easily, respond quickly and project with clarity, making it ideal for gigging drummers, studio sessions and advancing players who want a professional feel without the boutique price tag.

Centred around a compact yet punchy 20" bass drum and matched with versatile 10", 12" and 14" toms plus the cutting Armory Tomahawk snare, this shell pack covers everything from tight funk and pop to rock and worship settings. With upgraded Remo UC double-ply clear batter heads and thoughtful hardware touches like SONIClear suspension mounts and insulated bass drum claws, the Armory Series is built to sound great straight out of the box and to stay consistent night after night.

Hybrid Birch/Maple Shells with Olivewood Veneer

At the heart of the Armory Series is Mapex Hybrid Technology, combining birch and maple plies for a balanced, musical voice. Birch adds attack and focus, while maple contributes warmth and body, giving you a kit that cuts through the mix without ever sounding harsh. The high gloss lacquer over striking olivewood outer veneers gives the Roasted Chestnut finish a premium, boutique aesthetic that looks as good under stage lights as it does in the studio.

SONIClear Bearing Edges and Mounting

SONIClear bearing edges allow the drumheads to sit flatter on the shell, improving contact and making tuning faster and more consistent across the kit. Paired with SONIClear suspension mounts and SONIClear floor tom feet, the shells are allowed to resonate more freely, enhancing sustain, low-end response and overall projection. The result is a kit that feels alive under the sticks and responds effortlessly to dynamic playing.

Armory Tomahawk Snare Drum

This shell pack includes the Armory Tomahawk snare, renowned for its crisp articulation and powerful backbeat. Its cutting attack and clear definition make it ideal for modern styles where the snare needs to sit confidently at the front of the mix. Whether you are playing ghost notes, rimshots or big choruses, the Tomahawk delivers a commanding, versatile voice that complements the hybrid tom and bass drum tones perfectly.

Gig-ready Hardware Details

Practical hardware touches make the Armory Series a reliable partner for regular use. The TH676 double tom holder with its new memory lock design helps you find and recall your perfect setup quickly, while low mass nutboxes and insulated bass drum claws help preserve shell resonance and protect your hoops. Combined with the upgraded Remo UC double-ply clear batter heads, you get a robust, road-ready kit that is easy to dial in and built to perform.
