Lollar Novel sB Bridge Pickup in Matte Black / Nickel

The Lollar Novel sB Bridge Pickup in Matte Black / Nickel delivers a thick, vocal single coil voice that drops straight into a standard humbucker route. Taking one coil from Lollar’s acclaimed dB humbucker and reworking it into a blade-style design, it offers punchy sustain, a smooth lower midrange and impressive clarity that sits comfortably between a vintage humbucker and a P-90.

Designed for players who want the feel and power of a modern blade pickup without losing nuance, the Novel sB excels at everything from articulate cleans to driven rock tones. Its focused attack, musical bloom and refined midrange make it an inspiring upgrade for any humbucker-equipped guitar, especially when paired with Lollar’s full-sized dB humbucker in the neck or as part of a matched Novel sB set.

Thick, Clear Single Coil Voice

The Novel sB bridge delivers a thicker sound than many traditional single coils while retaining the clarity and definition Lollar blade pickups are known for. You get a strong, singing fundamental that cuts through a mix without harshness, making it ideal for rhythm work, lead lines and everything in between.

Blade Design for Even String Response

Using a blade instead of individual pole pieces ensures consistent output and tone across all strings, regardless of your picking attack or string bending. This gives you a smoother, more even response that feels stable under the fingers and translates subtle playing dynamics with ease.

Vintage-Inspired Lower Midrange

Voiced with a vocal, lower midrange reminiscent of a smoother vintage humbucker or P-90, the Novel sB bridge sits beautifully in a band mix. Chords sound full and complex, while single notes have a rounded, expressive quality that suits blues, rock, indie and more.

Drop-In Humbucker Replacement

The Novel sB is designed to fit directly into a traditional humbucker pickup route, making it a straightforward upgrade for many guitars. You can enjoy the feel and response of a blade-style single coil without any routing or major modification to your instrument.

• Single Coil Tone from dB Humbucker DNA - Built from one side of Lollar’s dB humbucker, the Novel sB bridge captures the same muscular, articulate character in a single coil format. This gives you a powerful, modern voice that still feels familiar and musical under the fingers.
• Thicker Sound with Excellent Clarity - The pickup offers a fuller, thicker tone than many single coils while maintaining impressive note separation. Chords stay defined and lead lines remain articulate, even with gain, helping your playing stay clear and controlled.
• Vocal Lower Midrange and Smooth Attack - A strong, vocal lower midrange and a blooming note attack give the Novel sB a responsive, expressive feel. It evokes the warmth of a vintage humbucker or P-90 but with a smoother, more refined edge that suits a wide range of styles.
• Humbucker-Sized Blade Pickup - Designed as a direct fit for a standard humbucker route, the Novel sB bridge is easy to install and pairs naturally with other Lollar models. Use it as part of a two-piece Novel sB set or combine it with a dB humbucker for a versatile, cohesive rig.
