Lollar Novel sB Bridge Pickup in Matte Black / Gold

The Lollar Novel sB Bridge Pickup in Matte Black / Gold delivers the punch and sustain of a hot vintage humbucker with the clarity and focus of a blade single coil. Designed to drop straight into a standard humbucker route, it gives your bridge position a thicker, more vocal voice while keeping every note articulate and defined.

Taking one coil from Lollar's acclaimed dB humbucker and housing it in a traditional humbucker footprint, the Novel sB offers a smooth lower midrange, strong sustain and a blooming note attack that feels incredibly responsive under the fingers. If you want more authority and presence from your bridge single coil without losing dynamics or detail, this pickup is built for you.

Blade Single Coil with Humbucker Attitude

The Novel sB is a blade style single coil that borrows its DNA from one side of the Lollar dB humbucker. That means you get a thicker, more muscular sound than a typical single coil, with a vocal fundamental in the lower mids that recalls a refined P 90 or a smoother vintage humbucker. Chords sound full and complex, while single notes have a singing, expressive quality.

Drop In Humbucker Replacement

Engineered to fit a traditional humbucker pickup route, the Novel sB Bridge is a genuine drop in replacement for most humbucker equipped guitars. There is no need for body routing or major modification, making it an easy upgrade if you want to transform a humbucker loaded instrument with a more articulate, blade single coil voice in the bridge position.

Clarity, Sustain and Note Bloom

While the Novel sB delivers a thicker tone, it retains the clarity and definition that Lollar blade pickups are known for. You will notice a stronger sustain and a distinct bloom to the note's attack, helping riffs feel more powerful and solos more fluid. The pickup responds sensitively to picking dynamics, rewarding lighter touch playing and digging in alike.

Balanced Output for Versatile Pairings

With an average DC resistance of 7.2K in the bridge, the Novel sB offers a balanced output that sits comfortably alongside other quality pickups. Lollar specifically highlight pairing a Novel sB neck with a full sized dB humbucker in the bridge for a cohesive two piece set; the Novel sB Bridge can likewise be combined with other Lollar models to create versatile custom configurations.

• Blade Style Single Coil Voice - The blade design delivers even string response and rock solid tracking, giving you consistent volume and tone across the fretboard. This makes bends, wide vibrato and complex chords sound smooth and controlled, ideal for expressive players.
• Thick, Smooth Lower Midrange - Voiced with a vocal lower midrange reminiscent of a refined vintage humbucker or P 90, the Novel sB Bridge adds body and warmth without becoming muddy. Your bridge position gains extra authority for rock rhythms and lead lines while still cutting clearly through a mix.
• Drop In Humbucker Footprint - Designed to fit a standard humbucker route, this pickup can be installed in many existing guitars with minimal fuss. That means you can upgrade from a conventional humbucker to a more articulate blade single coil sound without reworking your instrument.
• Enhanced Sustain and Note Bloom - The Novel sB is tuned for a strong, singing sustain and a blooming attack that feels lively under the fingers. This helps legato lines, held chords and melodic phrases ring out with character, making it a great choice for expressive, touch sensitive playing.
