Ibanez PA16HSG Grip Wizard Series Sand Pick 1mm in Dark Blue 6 Pack

The Ibanez PA16HSG Grip Wizard Sand Pick in Dark Blue is a 1.0mm, short teardrop plectrum designed for players who demand control, comfort and consistency. With its textured sand grip surface and durable polyacetal construction, this six pack keeps your picking hand locked in, even under hot stage lights or during intense practice sessions.

Part of Ibanez’s acclaimed Grip Wizard series, these picks combine a compact, agile shape with a grippy surface that helps prevent slipping without feeling abrasive. Whether you are alternate picking, hybrid picking or playing fast acoustic runs, the PA16HSG delivers a secure feel and a clear, articulate attack that stays reliable from the first song to the last.

Secure Sand Grip Surface

The defining feature of the Grip Wizard Sand series is its textured sand surface, applied to the face of the pick to enhance friction between your fingers and the plectrum. This gives you a noticeably more secure hold, helping to reduce accidental drops and allowing you to relax your grip slightly for better speed and finesse. It is especially useful for players whose hands tend to get sweaty under lights or during longer sets.

1.0mm Thickness for Controlled Attack

At 1.0mm, the PA16HSG sits in the sweet spot between flexibility and rigidity, offering a firm, controlled feel without being overly stiff. This thickness supports precise picking dynamics, making it easy to dig in for powerful riffs or back off for more nuanced, expressive lines. It is a versatile choice for both electric and acoustic players who want a consistent, confident response from their pick.

Short Teardrop Shape for Precision

The short teardrop shape of the PA16HSG puts a smaller tip closer to your fingertips, giving you a highly accurate point of contact with the strings. This compact profile is ideal for fast, intricate picking patterns, tight rhythm work and articulate lead lines. The reduced surface area also helps the pick move quickly through the strings, supporting speed and clarity in your playing.

Durable Polyacetal Construction

Constructed from hard-wearing polyacetal, the PA16HSG offers a smooth, consistent glide across the strings and a crisp, defined attack. This material is designed to resist wear, helping the pick maintain its shape and edge over time. The result is a reliable feel and tone from pick to pick, gig after gig.

• Textured Sand Grip Surface - The sand-coated surface provides enhanced friction between your fingers and the pick, helping to prevent slipping and drops. This gives you greater confidence and control, particularly during energetic performances or long practice sessions.
• 1.0mm Medium Heavy Gauge - With its 1.0mm thickness, the PA16HSG delivers a solid, stable feel that supports accurate picking and strong attack. It is thick enough for punchy riffs yet responsive enough for expressive playing, making it a versatile option for a wide range of styles.
• Short Teardrop Profile - The compact teardrop shape brings the tip closer to your fingertips, improving precision and control. This is ideal for players who favour tight, articulate picking and want a pick that can keep up with fast runs and intricate patterns.
• Durable Polyacetal Material in a Handy 6 Pack - Made from robust polyacetal, each pick offers a consistent feel and long-lasting edge, while the six pack format ensures you always have spares ready to go. Keep a set in your case, your pocket and your pedalboard so you are never caught without your preferred pick.
