Product Description
The Ibanez GRG220PA3-RLB is a sleek, affordable take on the classic RG formula, pairing eye-catching looks with easy playability and versatile tones. With its striking Royal Purple Burst finish over a poplar burl art grain top, fast maple neck and flexible HSH pickup layout, it is a brilliant choice for beginners and developing players who want a guitar that looks and feels like a modern rock machine without the premium price tag.
Part of the GIO range, the GRG220PA3-RLB delivers the core Ibanez experience in a more accessible package. The slim GRG neck profile makes it simple to get around all 24 frets, while the T102 tremolo bridge lets you add expressive vibrato and pitch tricks to your playing. A trio of Infinity pickups provides everything from chunky rhythm sounds to cutting leads and sparkling cleans, so you can explore a wide range of styles as your playing progresses.
The lightweight poplar body keeps things comfortable for long practice sessions or gigs, with the contoured RG shape sitting naturally against the body whether you play seated or standing. Chrome hardware and crisp white dot inlays complete the classic Ibanez look, giving you a guitar that feels inspiring every time you pick it up.
Whether you are buying your first serious electric or adding a reliable, great-looking workhorse to your collection, the GRG220PA3-RLB offers huge value. It captures the attitude and playability that have made Ibanez RG guitars a staple of rock and metal, while remaining approachable for players at any stage of their musical journey.
Fast, Comfortable GRG Maple Neck
The GRG maple neck is designed for speed and comfort, with a slim profile that makes it easy to move up and down the fretboard. Combined with 24 frets and clear white dot inlays, it encourages confident lead playing and smooth chord changes, helping newer players progress more quickly.
Versatile HSH Pickup Configuration
An HSH layout with Infinity R humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions and an Infinity RS single-coil in the middle gives you a wide palette of tones. From thick, powerful rock sounds to brighter, more articulate clean and crunch tones, this configuration makes it simple to cover multiple genres with one guitar.
Expressive T102 Tremolo Bridge
The T102 tremolo bridge allows you to add vibrato, dives and subtle pitch bends to your playing. It opens the door to expressive techniques found in rock, metal and fusion, while still providing a familiar feel for everyday rhythm work.
Striking Royal Purple Burst Finish
The poplar burl art grain top finished in Royal Purple Burst gives the GRG220PA3-RLB a distinctive, high-end appearance. The gloss polyurethane finish enhances the vivid colour and patterning, making this an instrument that looks as exciting as it sounds on stage or in the practice room.
