If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

The Ibanez AM153FM Artstar is a compact semi-hollow electric that blends classic jazz-box elegance with the comfort and feel of a smaller body. Originally introduced in the early '80s, the AM shape takes the traditional semi-hollow formula and scales it down slightly — making it a natural step for solid body players who want that airy, open sound without a bulky body. Add in a slick Macassar Ebony fretboard, a rock-solid Gibraltar Artist bridge and a versatile Tri-Sound switch, and you have a refined workhorse that can cover everything from straight-ahead jazz to blues, soul, indie and classic rock.
Compact semi-hollow design
The AM153FM keeps the depth and construction of a traditional semi-hollow, but with a slightly smaller 14.5" body width. That compact footprint makes it more comfortable for long sets, easier to handle on tighter stages and instantly familiar for players coming from solid body instruments, while still delivering the warm, punchy tone and natural sustain semi-hollows are known for.
