Gibson Pickup Elev8 Plus Pickups - Treble Zebra 4-Conductor Potted 15k Alnico 8

The Gibson Elev8 Plus Treble Pickup is a modern, high output bridge humbucker built for players who want serious power without losing clarity or control. With its overwound coils, Alnico 8 magnet and 15k DC resistance, it delivers a tight, authoritative voice that stays articulate under heavy gain and low tunings, while four conductor wiring opens the door to a wide range of switching options.

Designed as the most powerful member of the Elev8 family, the Elev8 Plus excels in the bridge position where you need punch, focus and definition. Tight lows keep palm-muted riffs precise, the midrange cuts confidently through a dense mix, and the top end remains clear enough for complex chords and fast lead work, even with saturated modern tones.

High Output, Modern Voice

The Elev8 Plus is voiced for players who want more push from the bridge position without sacrificing musicality. Its overwound design and Alnico 8 magnet combine to produce a commanding, high output sound that drives your amp hard, yet still responds dynamically to your picking. Dig in for aggressive rhythm work or back off for more nuanced passages, all from the same pickup.

Tight, Controlled Low End

With an average DC resistance of 15k and a carefully tuned low end, this pickup keeps things tight and controlled, even with heavy palm muting and drop tunings. Chugging riffs stay focused rather than flabby, helping you lock in with the drummer and maintain definition in high gain settings where lesser pickups can turn to mush.

Clarity Under High Gain

Despite its power, the Elev8 Plus retains excellent note separation and articulation. Complex chords remain intelligible, fast runs stay clear, and harmonics leap out easily, making it ideal for modern rock and metal players who rely on saturated tones but still need every note to cut through.

Flexible Wiring and Classic Looks

Four conductor wiring gives you the flexibility to explore coil splits and more advanced switching options alongside its full humbucking roar. Wax potting helps keep the pickup stable at high volumes, while the uncovered zebra bobbins provide a classic, contrasting look that suits a wide range of guitars. It is also recommended to pair perfectly with a standard Elev8 in the neck for a balanced modern setup.

• High Output Overwound Design - The powerful overwound coil configuration delivers serious output and punch, driving your amp into rich saturation while still responding to your picking dynamics. Ideal for players who want more aggression and authority from the bridge position.
• Alnico 8 Magnet for Modern Punch - An Alnico 8 magnet provides a strong, focused magnetic field that enhances attack, tightens the low end and adds bite to the upper mids. This gives you a modern, cutting voice that stands out in a busy mix without sounding harsh.
• 4 Conductor Wiring for Versatile Switching - Four conductor wiring allows for coil splitting and other advanced wiring schemes, expanding your tonal palette beyond a single high gain sound. Switch between full humbucker power and more open, single coil style tones to suit different songs and styles.
• Wax Potted Zebra Humbucker - Wax potting helps reduce unwanted microphonic feedback at high volumes, keeping your tone stable and controlled on loud stages. The uncovered zebra bobbins add a timeless visual flair that complements both modern and classic guitar designs.
