Focal Sub One Active Subwoofer

Focal’s Sub One is a compact, high-performance active subwoofer designed to reveal the finest details in your low end. Partner it with Focal Alpha Evo or Shape monitors and you gain extended, controlled bass that lets you make confident decisions on kick, bass and LFE content in music, post-production and sound design.

Armed with dual 8 inch Slatefiber woofers and 200W of Class D power, Sub One delivers fast, articulate low frequencies from 32 Hz up to 120 Hz. Its slim, front-ported enclosure slips neatly along a wall or under a desk, while a comprehensive rear panel offers flexible bass management and integration with stereo or 2.1 monitoring setups.

Whether you are tightening up your mix translation, checking sub-heavy genres or managing LFE in a compact studio, Sub One gives you the precision and punch you need without dominating your room.

Studio-Ready Low-End Precision

Sub One uses two 20 cm (8 inch) Slatefiber drivers to deliver neutral, detailed and dynamic low frequencies with low distortion. This clarity helps you judge sub-bass levels accurately, balance kick and bass instruments, and hear compression and EQ moves in the lowest octave, so your mixes translate more reliably to other systems.

Slim, Discreet Form Factor

With its full-width, low-profile design and front-mounted air vents, Sub One is built to integrate discreetly into modern studios. It can be positioned along a wall or tucked under a desk without choking the ports, saving valuable floor space while still providing powerful, even bass response.

Flexible Bass Management

A full set of controls on the rear panel lets you tailor Sub One to your room and workflow. Adjustable low-pass and high-pass filters, phase and polarity options, and a dedicated sub level control make it easy to match the sub to your main monitors and listening position, whether you are working in stereo or 2.1.

Hands-Free 2.1 Bypass

Sub One features a 2.1 bypass function that can be controlled via an external footswitch. This allows you to instantly compare your mix with and without the subwoofer engaged, helping you check translation on smaller systems and make faster, more confident mix decisions.
