SKU: VERTO-MX

Product Description

The Ferrofish Verto MX is a compact 64 x 64 MADI to Dante converter that lets you drop your existing MADI gear straight into a modern Dante network with minimal fuss. With dual MADI formats, dual redundant Dante ports and support for sample rates up to 192 kHz, it is a powerful bridge between installed MADI systems and networked audio workflows.

Whether you are running a digital console, stagebox or MADI converter, the Verto MX makes all 64 MADI input and output channels instantly visible on the Dante network. Simply connect your MADI I/O, hook up the Ethernet ports to your Dante infrastructure and you are ready to route audio using Dante Controller. No complex configuration, no additional interface cards and no compromise on channel count.

Designed for professional live sound, broadcast and studio environments, the Verto MX offers both optical and coaxial MADI connectivity in the same unit. This allows you to integrate a wide range of existing hardware while keeping your system flexible for future changes. Automatic failover between the two MADI ports and redundant primary/secondary Dante connections help keep audio flowing even if a cable or device fails.

On the sync side, dedicated BNC word clock I/O and support for high sample rates ensure the Verto MX slots neatly into clocked digital systems. MIDI I/O is provided for firmware updates via a MIDI to USB interface, helping you keep the unit current as Dante and MADI workflows evolve.

Effortless MADI to Dante Integration

The Verto MX is built to make migrating from point to point MADI to networked Dante audio as painless as possible. With 64 x 64 channels available in both directions, you can move entire console I/O setups or recording splits onto the network without sacrificing capacity or resorting to multiple smaller converters.

Flexible Dual Format MADI Connectivity

By including both multimode optical (via SFP module) and coaxial BNC MADI I/O, the Verto MX works with a wide variety of existing MADI devices. This flexibility is ideal for venues, OB trucks and hire companies that encounter different MADI formats from show to show or client to client.

Redundant Dante and MADI Operation

Dual RJ45 Dante ports allow primary and secondary network connections for redundancy, while the two MADI interfaces can be configured so that if one signal fails, the other takes over automatically. This level of resilience is crucial in mission critical environments where audio dropout is simply not an option.

Professional Sync and Maintenance Options

BNC word clock I/O with factory set 75 Ohm termination on the input lets you integrate the Verto MX into a master clocked system or use it as a clocked device within a larger digital rig. MIDI I/O provides a straightforward route for firmware updates via a MIDI USB interface, helping to keep the unit reliable and up to date.

Features
  • 64 x 64 Channel MADI to Dante Conversion - Route up to 64 channels in and 64 channels out between MADI and Dante, making it easy to move full console I/O, recording feeds or broadcast splits onto a networked audio backbone without losing capacity.
  • Dual Optical and Coaxial MADI Interfaces - Connect multimode optical MADI via SFP module or coaxial MADI via BNC, giving you the flexibility to work with a broad range of existing MADI hardware in fixed installs, touring rigs or mobile setups.
  • Redundant Dual Dante Ports - Two Ethernet ports support primary and secondary Dante networks, helping to maintain uninterrupted audio in the event of a cable or switch failure, which is vital for live sound and broadcast reliability.
  • Word Clock and MIDI Connectivity - BNC word clock I/O with 75 Ohm terminated input allows tight integration with external clock sources, while MIDI I/O enables firmware updates via a MIDI USB interface so you can keep the converter performing at its best.
