The American Professional range brings the core USA-made HSS Stratocaster to the forefront of modern playing feel and design while staying true to the iconic shape everyone knows and loves. The Fender team have equipped the American Pro with a set of revoiced humbucker and dual single-coil V-Mod III pickups with coil tapping potential, a new 2-point tremolo bridge and ClassicGear saddles, and a gloriously effortless neck resulting in an incredible playing feel and crisp, quality, sound.

V-Mod III pickups and expanded single-coil combinations

Fender has geared their latest V-Mod III pickups to a vintage-inspired dynamic tone with the warmth and clarity that has made the Strat sound so recognisable and still so versatile. Each pickup has been voiced specifically for their neck, middle and bridge positions to provide outstanding customisation as you flick between the five pickup combinations, from bell-like chime to silky leads and onto punchy, thicker attack from the humbucker. The ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers offer a satisfying custom torque and resistance for fluid volume and tone swells.

The HSS Strat humbucker adds an exciting element to the mix with the bridge humbucker, but if you want to switch it up to a single-coil bridge snap you have that option by pressing the push/push tone control to coil tap – all without a reduction in volume to keep a natural consistency as you play live.

Sleek neck design with rolled fingerboard edges

The American Professional series comes standard with a deep “C” neck profile, a modern slim size that gradually fills out the hand more as you head up the frets. On top are 22 narrow tall frets for a touch of vintage flavour as you pull of expressive bends and quickly jump between notes. These have been rolled to feel like your Strat has been broken in just like the most wanted vintage instruments.

The Super Natural satin finish is another brilliant addition to bring a classy feel and speed up your playing in the process. No chance you’ll be catching yourself on the arm or hand as you reach for the highest frets as the neck heel has been sculpted smooth on the lower corner with the neck plate bevelled – a nice touch to allow for truly free lead playing.

Effortless vibrato and rock-solid tuning stability

The American Pro Strat’s 2-point tremolo has been upgraded with an ultra sturdy cold-rolled steel block topped. In plain terms: increased note sustain and resonance throughout the guitar’s body.

The ClassicGear Radial bent steel saddles also help with accurate intonation in tandem with the real bone nut, and easier action adjustment for a top setup customised to your preferences. The recessed screws ensure they stay out of your way as your picking hand rests comfortably next to the bridge.
