EVH Striped Series Shapes Electric Guitar in White and Black

The EVH Striped Series Shapes Electric Guitar in White and Black is a faithful, stage-ready tribute to Eddie Van Halen’s legendary Shapes guitar from the 1981 Fair Warning tour. With its unmistakable painted graphic, hot-rodded single-humbucker layout and rock-solid Floyd Rose system with D-Tuna, this is a no-nonsense performance machine built for players who want Eddie’s attitude, sound and feel in a modern, reliable package.

At its core, the Shapes model combines a resonant mahogany body with a quartersawn maple neck and compound-radius maple fingerboard, delivering punchy, focused tone and a fast, comfortable playing experience across the entire neck. A direct-mounted EVH Wolfgang humbucker provides the snarling, harmonically rich voice associated with Eddie’s iconic sound, while the single master volume and low-friction pot keep your controls simple and lightning quick for on-the-fly swells and kill-switch style tricks.

Engineered for serious whammy bar abuse, the EVH-branded Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, locking nut and EVH-branded Gotoh tuners work together to keep tuning stable under extreme dive bombs, flutters and wide vibrato. The integrated EVH D-Tuna lets you flip between standard and Drop D tuning in seconds, making it ideal for live sets that demand instant tuning changes without swapping guitars.

Finished in a sleek satin urethane and dressed in chrome hardware with oversized strap buttons, this guitar is built to be played hard night after night. Supplied with an EVH Wolfgang/Striped Series gig bag and essential accessories, the Striped Series Shapes is ready to hit the road as soon as you are.

Iconic Shapes Graphic

Inspired directly by Eddie Van Halen’s original Shapes guitar from the Fair Warning era, the white and black painted graphic gives this model an unmistakable stage presence. The satin urethane finish keeps reflections under control under bright lights while allowing the artwork to take centre stage, making this a guitar that looks as aggressive as it sounds.

High-Performance Neck and Fingerboard

The one-piece quartersawn maple neck with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint is built for stability, even under heavy string tension and drastic climate changes. The EVH Modified C profile feels fast yet substantial, while the 12"-16" compound-radius maple fingerboard and jumbo frets make it easy to play big chords down low and execute effortless bends and legato runs higher up the neck.

EVH Wolfgang Humbucker Power

A direct-mounted EVH Wolfgang bridge humbucker delivers the tight low end, cutting mids and singing highs associated with Eddie’s signature tone. Mounted straight into the mahogany body for enhanced resonance and attack, it responds dynamically to your picking hand, from articulate clean passages to saturated high-gain riffs and solos.

Floyd Rose with D-Tuna for Ultimate Control

The EVH-branded Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, paired with a Floyd Rose R3 locking nut, lets you perform extreme pitch shifts and expressive vibrato while maintaining tuning stability. The integrated EVH D-Tuna allows instant switching between standard and Drop D tuning, giving you extra versatility on stage without interrupting the flow of your set.

• Iconic White and Black Shapes Graphic - The distinctive Shapes painted graphic pays homage to Eddie’s 1981 Fair Warning tour guitar, giving you a visually striking instrument that stands out on any stage and instantly signals your love for classic EVH style.
• Mahogany Body with Satin Urethane Finish - The solid mahogany body provides a warm, punchy tonal foundation with excellent sustain, while the satin urethane finish feels smooth, looks sleek and lets the guitar resonate freely for a lively, responsive feel.
• EVH Modified C Neck with Compound-Radius Maple Fingerboard - A comfortable EVH Modified C profile and 12"-16" compound-radius fingerboard make this neck ideal for both chunky rhythm work and fast lead playing, helping you move seamlessly from low-register riffs to high-register bends and tapping.
• EVH-Branded Floyd Rose with D-Tuna - The EVH-branded Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo and integrated D-Tuna give you the freedom to perform aggressive tremolo techniques and switch to Drop D tuning in seconds, all while maintaining reliable tuning stability throughout your performance.
