Product Description
Can we call the ’80s retro yet? Because that’s exactly what ESP are digging with the M-1 ’87. The LTD ‘87 series offers some of the best and most unique specs you’ll find - not only within the ESP range - but the world over for a Korean-made guitar. Exceptional construction, stylish looks and elite hardware and electronics.
Construction
Made of a carved solid alder body giving off awesome old school vibes, the M-1 Custom ‘87 is a true spectacle of a guitar - but it doesn’t stop there. Playability is always at the forefront of ESP’s design books.
It hosts a neck-through extra thin ‘U’ neck and ebony fingerboard; a winning combination found across the ESP catalogue in their USA built guitars and production models alike. Hardware choices include a Floyd Rose 1000 floating bridge for all your flutter and divebomb needs, all while guaranteeing fine stability.
Sound
Forget modern metal string clarity here. The single Seymour Duncan Distortion bridge pickup is all about juicy harmonics and full-blooded solo tones. The Distortion is made for one thing, and one thing only. This hot ceramic pickup delivers full-bodied tones focusing on upper mids frequencies and a tighter low end. It feels most at home when used for rock, metal or jazz.
