Product Description
The ESP LTD B-205DX in Red Burst is a sleek, modern 5 string bass that delivers powerful active tones, fast playability and rock solid tuning stability at a price that is accessible to working players and ambitious beginners alike. With its striking finish, comfortable Thin U neck profile and versatile active electronics, it is ready to cover everything from tight studio work to aggressive live sets.
Built with a classic 34 inch scale and a bolt on roasted maple neck, the B-205DX feels instantly familiar under the fingers while offering the extended low range that only a 5 string can provide. The combination of LTD DB-5 pickups and an active 2 band EQ gives you a wide palette of usable sounds, from deep, rounded lows to bright, cutting slap tones, all controlled directly from the bass.
The poplar body keeps the instrument lightweight and well balanced, ideal for long rehearsals and gigs, while the rosewood fingerboard and extra jumbo frets make complex lines and chords feel smooth and controlled. Finished in a vivid Red Burst with black hardware and the classic silver script LTD logo, this bass looks every bit as bold as it sounds.
Powerful Active Electronics
The B-205DX comes loaded with LTD DB-5 pickups and an active circuit featuring volume, balance, bass and treble controls. This setup lets you precisely shape your sound on the fly, whether you need tight, punchy lows for metal, warm supportive tones for soul or bright, percussive attack for funk and slap.
Comfortable Thin U Neck
A roasted maple neck with a Thin U profile and 400 mm fingerboard radius offers a fast, comfortable feel across all five strings. The 24 extra jumbo frets make it easy to execute wide bends, fast runs and intricate chord voicings without feeling cramped, even at the upper end of the neck.
Stage Ready Construction
The poplar body keeps weight under control while still providing a solid, resonant platform for the active electronics. A bolt on design adds snap and definition to your notes, and the moulded nut and sturdy hardtail bridge help maintain tuning stability through heavy playing.
Striking Red Burst Aesthetic
The Red Burst finish, black hardware and silver script LTD headstock logo give the B-205DX a modern, eye catching look that stands out under stage lights. It is a bass that looks as serious as it sounds, making it an ideal choice for players who want a professional appearance without a premium price tag.
