Product Description
The ESP LTD B-204DX in Red Burst is a slick, modern 4-string bass that delivers punchy active tones, fast playability and eye-catching looks at a price that makes serious performance accessible. With a comfortable bolt-on roasted maple neck, active SB-4 pickups and a powerful 2-band EQ, it is ready to handle everything from tight studio work to high-energy live sets.
Built around a lightweight poplar body and a smooth rosewood fingerboard, the B-204DX is designed to feel familiar in your hands while offering the clarity and articulation demanded by contemporary styles. Whether you are locking in with programmed drums, holding down classic rock lines or exploring more technical playing, this bass gives you the response and control you need.
The Red Burst finish and black hardware give the instrument a distinctive, stage-ready aesthetic that looks as bold as it sounds. Under the hood, the LTD DB-4 preamp and SB-4 pickups provide a wide tonal palette, from deep, rounded lows to bright, cutting highs that sit perfectly in a mix.
With its Thin U neck profile, extra-jumbo frets and 34 inch scale, the B-204DX feels fast and precise under the fingers, encouraging confident playing across the full 24-fret range. It is a versatile, gig-ready workhorse for players who want modern performance and style without complication.
Active SB-4 Pickups and LTD DB-4 Preamp
The combination of LTD SB-4 pickups and the active DB-4 preamp gives the B-204DX a powerful, articulate voice with plenty of headroom. The active circuitry keeps your tone consistent and punchy at any volume, making it easy to cut through dense mixes while retaining clarity and note definition.
Comfortable Thin U Roasted Maple Neck
The roasted maple neck with a Thin U profile offers a fast, comfortable feel that suits a wide range of hand sizes and playing styles. Roasting adds stability and a smooth, broken-in feel, so you can play longer sets with less fatigue and enjoy reliable performance across changing environments.
24 Extra-Jumbo Frets and 34 Inch Scale
With 24 extra-jumbo frets on a 34 inch scale, the B-204DX gives you extended range and easy bending while maintaining familiar bass tension and feel. The larger fretwire makes complex lines, slides and vibrato feel effortless, helping you play more accurately and expressively all over the neck.
Striking Red Burst Finish with Black Hardware
The Red Burst finish and black hardware give this bass a modern, aggressive look that stands out under stage lights. It is an instrument that looks as serious as it sounds, making it an ideal choice for players who want their gear to make a visual statement as well as a sonic one.
