Voiced using Larry DiMarzios own 1959 Les Paul as a reference, it delivers warm, articulate vintage tones with just a touch more output, making it ideal for everything from expressive blues to classic rock crunch.
This F-spaced bridge model is designed for guitars with wider string spacing at the bridge, ensuring the pole pieces line up properly under the strings. With an Alnico 5 magnet, a deliberately soft magnetic field and four conductor wiring for coil splitting, it offers a dynamic, touch-sensitive response and a wide range of usable sounds from a single pickup.
Vintage PAF Tone with Extra Punch
The DP223FW is built to recreate the feel and sound of a great vintage PAF, but with a slightly hotter output of 285 for more authority in the bridge position. The 8.60 kΩ DC resistance and carefully balanced EQ deliver a full, musical voice that stays clear under gain, giving you singing sustain and rich harmonics without getting muddy.
F Spaced for Modern Bridges
This version is F spaced, so the pole pieces are correctly aligned for guitars with wider bridge spacing, such as many tremolo equipped and modern style instruments. Proper alignment helps maintain even string-to-string balance, ensuring that chords sound cohesive and single notes remain consistent in volume across the neck.
Dynamic, Expressive Response
