Product Description
Danelectro stormed back onto the scene in 1998 with a glorious parade of reissues, reviving the quirky charm of their golden‑era classics. But this time, things are different. The gang at Danelectro haven’t just dipped into the archive — they’ve doubled down on everything that made those original instruments so unique, with the 59X12 a 12-string electric guitar that doesn’t just honour the past… it supercharges it!
Shorthorn semi-hollow vibes
Built around the iconic ’59 Shorthorn shape, the Danelectro 59X12’s semi-hollow design delivers that unmistakable airy, resonant feel. Strummed unplugged or pushed through an amp, it’s bright, lively and full of that classic shimmer you want from a 12‑string.
Lipstick ‘bucker punch, single-coil spank
It wouldn’t be a Danelectro without a Lipstick pickup, and this one’s rocking a double version for extra punch and sparkle. Pair that with an angled single-coil in the neck and you’ve got a killer tonal spread. The bridge ‘bucker can be coil‑tapped via the push/pull master tone knob too.
Slinky vintage feel
With a 25" scale length and 21 frets, this Danelectro 59X12 feels easy under the fingers while still giving you a nice snappy response. The bolt-on Maple neck adds a bit of extra bite and clarity too, helping your chords and melodies really pop.
Stays sweet all the way up the neck
Many 12‑strings can be tricky to keep sounding tight and in tune. Thankfully, this one’s equipped with a fully adjustable bridge, so you can dial in each string pair properly. That means clear, musical chords all the way up the neck instead of a muddy mess.
Features
- 12-string shimmer: The 59X12’s 12‑string semi-hollow design dishes out huge, airy choral tones that fill the room — perfect for dreamy soundscapes, classic rock textures and anything that needs a bit of celestial magic.
- Dual Lipstick bridge pickup: Pure vintage attitude with extra muscle. And thanks to the push‑pull coil tap, you can flip seamlessly between chimey single‑coil chime and fuller humbucker warmth.
- Fully adjustable bridge: Dial in your setup with ease thanks to precise height and intonation adjustment, keeping every string pair sounding clear and in tune up the neck.
