Product Description
Danelectro’s late-’90s comeback was epic — bringing all that off-the-wall vintage charm back into the spotlight. But they didn’t just stop at riding the nostalgia wave. Fast forward to today, and they’ve taken everything we loved about those originals and given them a proper modern twist. If you’re after a bass that’s dripping in vibe and a bit different from the usual suspects, the 59DC Long Scale is an absolute belter.
Familiar long scale playability
With a 34-inch scale length, you’re getting that classic long scale response most of us are used to. We’re talking nice, even string tension and comfortable spacing right across all 20 frets. It’s super easy to get around, whether you’re holding down the low end or jumping up the neck. The Shorthorn body keeps things nicely balanced too. So, if you’ve played a standard long scale before, you’ll feel right at home here.
Warm Lipstick sounds
Loaded with a pair of high-impedance Lipstick pickups, this thing delivers a smooth, rounded tone that just works. You get a lovely full low end, but it never gets muddy and it sits right where you want it in a mix. Flick between the neck, bridge or both with the three-way switch and you’ve got a handful of great sounds at your fingertips. You’ve also got stacked volume and tone controls keeping everything neat and tidy but still giving you the control you need.
Set it and forget it
The fully adjustable bridge makes setup a breeze with its individual string saddles. Whether you like your action low and slick or a bit higher, you can get it just how you want it. And once you’ve got it set, it stays put with solid tuning stability all the way up the neck.
