Product Description
The Catalinbread CB Tap Purple Limited Edition is a compact external tap tempo switch designed to unlock hands-free tempo control for your Belle Epoch Deluxe and other compatible pedals. Simple to set up and effortless to use, it lets you dial in precise delay times with your foot, keeping your hands free to focus on playing while your echoes stay perfectly in time.
Purpose-built for the Belle Epoch Deluxe, the CB Tap connects via a supplied TRS patch cable and instantly adds tap tempo functionality, with a clear LED indicator that follows your taps. It can also be used with many other pedals that feature a normally-open tap tempo output, making it a flexible addition to any pedalboard that relies on time-based effects.
Dedicated Tap Tempo for Belle Epoch Deluxe
The CB Tap was created specifically to partner with the Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe, giving you a dedicated tap tempo controller that feels like an integrated part of the pedal. Simply connect the included TRS cable from the Deluxe’s expression output to the CB Tap’s DLX input, then tap in your tempo and watch the LED follow along. It is an intuitive way to keep your delay repeats locked to the band without diving for knobs mid-song.
Works with Other Compatible Tap-Tempo Pedals
As well as controlling the Belle Epoch Deluxe, the CB Tap can connect to other pedals that feature a normally-open tap tempo output. Plug the TRS cable into your pedal’s tap out and into the CB Tap’s Tap input, then set your tempo with your foot. You can even use it with another pedal at the same time as the Deluxe, streamlining tempo control across your board. When used with non-Deluxe pedals, the LED remains off, keeping the focus on the Belle Epoch Deluxe when both are connected.
Musical Delay Subdivisions via Echo Delay Control
Once you have tapped in your base tempo with the CB Tap, the Belle Epoch Deluxe’s Echo Delay control lets you multiply that time into musical subdivisions. This makes it easy to move from straight quarter-note delays to dotted or faster repeats while staying anchored to the tempo you have already set. The result is a more expressive, performance-ready delay setup that responds quickly to your creative ideas.
Designed Around the Belle Epoch Deluxe’s Delay Range
The CB Tap is calibrated to work within the Belle Epoch Deluxe’s delay range, so it will not set tempos outside what the pedal can produce. For example, it will not tap in delay times slower than 800 ms when controlling the Deluxe. This ensures that every tempo you tap translates into a usable, musical delay time without unexpected behaviour at extreme settings.
Features
- Purpose-Built for Belle Epoch Deluxe - Designed specifically to interface with the Belle Epoch Deluxe, the CB Tap adds seamless tap tempo control via the DLX input, making it feel like a natural extension of the pedal rather than an afterthought.
- Compatible with Many Tap-Tempo Pedals - By connecting to any pedal with a normally-open tap tempo output (excluding Boss and other non normally-open taps), the CB Tap can serve as a central tempo controller on your board, simplifying your live setup.
- LED Tempo Indication with Belle Epoch Deluxe - When used with the Belle Epoch Deluxe, the CB Tap’s LED follows your taps, giving you clear visual feedback on the tempo you have set so you can lock in with the rest of the band at a glance.
- Includes Catalinbread TRS Patch Cable - Supplied with a Catalinbread-branded six-inch 1/4” TRS patch cable, the CB Tap is ready to plug in and use straight away, ensuring a reliable connection between your pedals.
