EastCoast JG Electric Guitars
EastCoast JG Electric Guitars
EastCoast's entry-level JG guitars are inspired by the iconic offset guitars that were first introduced to the guitar player community in the late 1950s/early 1960s. Originally marketed to jazz players, they quickly found favour among surf rockers and have been a staple in the rock and indie guitarist arsenal ever since.
A fantastic choice for budding musicians looking for something a little different to the norm, you’ll be following in the footsteps of the likes of Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine) – all of whom used this offset design of guitar to get thick rock drive, stunning clean tones and walls of sound.
What you get from the JG is an incredibly versatile yet nuanced tone, capable of handling both thick distortion and smooth clean tones. They come equipped with two humbucker pickups, which sound warm and thick as opposed to the thinner tones of a single-coil pickup. They're great for a wide variety of musical genres, from jazz through to rock and onto metal.
Playing-wise, the JG has a gentle fretboard embedded with medium jumbo frets for new guitarists to get comfortable with the instrument. These guitars are made in a respected factory in the Far East using excellent woods like alder for the body and a gorgeous looking rosewood for the fingerboard. The tuning stability and excellent action (the height of the strings bove the fretboard) benefits from the comfy hard tail bridge.
