Product Description

The Paranormal series goes far beyond what we think we know about Squier guitars. It embraces forgotten models, dabbles in what could have been and stirs the pot of familiar Squier specs.

Fender fans will be familiar with the Cabronita: a solid body, humbucker-equipped Telecaster. But the Squier Thinline Cabronita is different again, drawing heavily from late '60s Tele and Jazzmaster design.

Construction

The Cabronita Thinline Tele is a semi-hollow guitar made using a poplar body. That allows it to sound rich and airy – ideal for styles of music heavily reliant on pristine cleans or overdrive with a bit of swagger.

Such a sleek guitar needs playability to match. The Cabronita delivers thanks to a fast “C” shape maple neck and narrow tall frets embedded in the matching maple neck. Hardware includes a sturdy 6-saddle string-through-body bridge and synthetic bone nut combo.

Sound

Fender designed the Cabronita's Jazzmaster pickups to go hand-in-hand with the semi-hollow body for a vibrant, silky tone. More versatile than you might think, alnico Jazzmaster single-coil pickups cover a wide range of characterful sounds suited to creative players.

This guitar blew my mind. I bought it on a whim (I was ordering another item and decided to "take a flyer" on it since I already had a shipment going on and it was pretty inexpensive for a cool, slightly different concept) The quality is spectacular, it's super fun to play, sounds really good (and very different from my other guitars) and it's so light it makes playing for hours a breeze. I've had it for 2 weeks, and that time I keep coming back to it all the time. Fantastic surprise!

This is a superb instrument, never mind that is excellent value for money. Good build quality, perfect set up straight out of the (factory sealed) box. It sounds wonderful. I already have a MIM Cabronita that has been my number 1 gigging guitar for 8 years. This one sounds better, plays just as well and looks the part. Well done Squier!!

Lovely guitar, amazingly good clean tone and plays like a dream. Arrived well setup and ready to play. The only thing I don't like is the recessed jack but it's not a big problem

Out the box playability and build quality is superb. Neck feels beautiful and not sticky at all, with no sharp edges to the frets. Pick ups sound sweet, especially in the middle position. Strings are a little cheap but they will be changed anyway. Great value. I have an Ultra Strat and whilst the components are noticeably cheaper this guitar doesn't feel any less fun to play!
