    Product Description

The Gretsch G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone brings classic looks with a modern sound and a reasonable pricetag. The Gretsch mini humbuckers in the Jet are quite different to the chimey, vintage sounding Filter'Trons in many Gretschs. Don't let the size fool you - these little powerhouses produce a serious low-end thud, perfect for a baritone guitar, but retains articulation and clarity.

The 29 3/4" scale length allows you to get heavy with lowered tunings, filling in different parts of the sonic spectrum. While the neck's bolt-on construction brings extra snap to the sound, for a very dynamic instrument. The 12" fingerboard radius is will feel comfortable to most players. It is flatter than many vintage instruments, allowing for a lower action, but with enough curvature to feel comfortable in the hand when playing chords. The Laurel fingerboard feels velvety smooth, allowing for effortless playability up and down the neck.

Here's what Gretsch say about the G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone

The Gretsch Electromatic® Collection gives you essential Gretsch power, style and performance. These are the guitars that will get you to the big stage — Play Proud.

The G5260 Electromatic® Jet™ Baritone with V-Stoptail captures essential Jet power and fidelity at sub-sonic levels.

The Jet Baritone rattles foundations with dual Gretsch® mini humbucking pickups that capture thundering lows while retaining a piano-like articulation and definition for intoxicating sonic size and width at every level of gain. Simple tone-shaping is provided by a three-position toggle switch as well as master volume and master tone controls.

An elongated 29 ¾”-scale accommodates lower tunings without loss of string tension, while the sturdy bolt-on maple neck is topped with a comfortable 12”-radius laurel fingerboard featuring 22 medium jumbo frets.

Other premium features and appointments include an anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, pearloid Big Block inlays, white binding with purfling and chrome hardware.
