Product Description

Troy Van Leeuwen is one of rock's most idiosyncratic guitarists. Renowned for his work with Queens of the Stone Age, Van Leeuwen has also made unique musical contributions to several high-profile alternative bands - including Failure, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. To cover all of this diverse sonic territory, a versatile instrument is necessary - and Van Leeuwen's signature Fender Jazzmaster covers all of the bases.

Classic Fender Construction

In typical Fender fashion, the Troy Van Leeuwen Signature Jazzmaster features an Alder body. This balanced-sounding material ensures robust lows, lively mids and crisp highs; the perfect tonal foundation for the jangly-sounding single-coil pickups.

The Alder body is joined with a bolt-on Maple neck, bringing out plenty of pronounced top-end. Shaped to Fender's standard "C” profile, the Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster's neck strikes the perfect balance between a contemporary and vintage feel. A Maple fingerboard is in-keeping with the light aesthetic, with black block inlays offering a retro '70s vibe.

Pure Vintage '65 Pickups

Fender's stunning Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster achieves its old-school sounds from its Pure Vintage '65 single-coil pickups. With a vibrant and punchy character, these medium-output pickups excel with clean amp settings but also sound dynamic and potent with overdrive and distortion. This alternative all-star guitar really is suitable for a wide range of styles!

Time-Honoured Hardware

Many of the distinctive hardware appointments found on original Jazzmasters from the '60s have been retained for this particular artist model. Fitted with a vintage-style "Floating" tremolo tailpiece, you can embellish lush chords and intricate licks with some eerie, atmospheric warble.

A Jazzmaster bridge with nickel-plated brass Mustang saddles ensures excellent tuning stability with extended tremolo use, while enable excellent access for action and intonation tweaks.
