Product Description
Behringer THE FLANGE WITH NO NAME is a powerful, time-delay-based modulation pedal that goes far beyond classic flanger sounds. With dual signal paths, extensive control over delay and modulation, an onboard FX loop and CV connectivity, it is built for players and producers who want to twist, warp and completely reinvent their sound on stage or in the studio.
At its heart, THE FLANGE WITH NO NAME delivers the timeless jet-plane sweeps and swooshing textures you would expect from a vintage flanger, driven by warm analogue circuitry and a musical LFO. But the moment you start exploring its deeper controls and routing options, it reveals a far more experimental side. Phasing, chorusing, vibrato, tremolo and even wild self-oscillation are all on tap, letting you move from subtle movement to full-blown sonic chaos with ease.
Designed around two audio paths, the pedal blends a straight, mono output of your dry signal with a delay path that is modulated and shaped by the LFO and a host of dedicated controls. The ability to isolate and manipulate these paths, combined with the FX loop and CV inputs, makes this a serious sound-design tool for guitar, bass, synths and studio use. Whether you are sweetening a clean tone, transforming a drum loop or sending entire mixes into orbit, this pedal is ready to explore uncharted territory.
All of this power is wrapped in a robust enclosure with vintage-inspired 90s graphics and a clear, hands-on control layout. Depth, Rate, Manual and gain controls keep core flanger sounds instantly accessible, while additional switches and knobs invite deeper experimentation when you are ready. True bypass switching keeps your dry tone intact when the effect is off, and standard 9 V DC power makes it easy to drop onto any modern pedalboard.
Flanging And Beyond
While it excels at classic flanger tones, THE FLANGE WITH NO NAME is designed to go much further. By combining flanging with phasing, chorusing, vibrato and tremolo-style modulation, it can move from gentle shimmer to extreme pitch-bending and rhythmic pulsing. This makes it ideal for players who want one modulation pedal that can cover a huge range of textures without swapping stompboxes.
Dual Path Design With FX Loop
The pedal operates using two distinct audio paths: a straight dry path and a delay path that is modulated by the LFO and other controls. This architecture is what gives the effect its depth and complexity, allowing for rich phase interaction and movement. The integrated FX loop lets you insert other pedals directly into the delay path, opening up advanced routing tricks and truly unique sounds that react dynamically as the modulation moves.
Analogue Warmth With Deep Control
Analogue circuitry keeps the sound warm, organic and musical, while a comprehensive control set lets you shape it precisely. Manual, Depth, Rate, I/P Gain, Reaction and Action knobs work alongside LFO, Loopage, Time and Space rotary switches to fine-tune everything from subtle vintage swirl to aggressive, resonant sweeps and self-oscillating feedback. This combination of analogue tone and detailed control makes it equally at home on guitars, basses, synths and studio sources.
Performance Ready And Studio Friendly
With true bypass switching, sturdy construction and support for standard 9 V DC power, THE FLANGE WITH NO NAME is ready for regular gigging and pedalboard use. At the same time, its wide frequency response, generous dynamic range and flexible I/O make it a powerful studio effect. CV/Expression and Trig/Gate inputs allow external control and synchronisation, so you can integrate the pedal into more complex rigs, modular setups or DAW-controlled workflows.
Features
- Beyond-Standard Flanging - Delivers the classic jet-plane and swooshing flanger tones, then pushes far beyond into phasing, chorusing, vibrato, tremolo and even self-oscillation. This gives you a single modulation pedal that can cover subtle movement, lush ambience and extreme experimental textures alike.
- Dual Signal Paths With FX Loop - Uses separate dry and delay paths to create rich phase interaction and depth, while the built-in FX loop lets you insert other pedals into the modulated path. This enables complex, evolving sounds and creative routing options that are ideal for sound design and advanced pedalboard setups.
- Analogue Circuitry And True Bypass - Employs analogue technology for warm, organic modulation with a musical feel, and features true bypass switching to keep your core tone pristine when the effect is disengaged. Perfect for players who demand both characterful colour and clean signal integrity.
- Extensive Control And CV Connectivity - Depth, Rate, Manual, I/P Gain, Reaction, Action and multiple rotary switches give you fine control over every aspect of the effect. CV In/Pedal and Trig/Gate connections expand performance possibilities, allowing external modulation, expression control and integration with synths or modular systems.
